Bobby Marks thinks Phoenix would be the best landing spot for Aldridge if he gets bought out.

Problem is, if he's our back up C, that leaves Cam, Saric, Crowder, and Kaminsky fighting for minutes at the 4, and Bridges, Crowder, and Cam fighting for minutes at the 3. Given how effective Cam and Saric have been, someone effective is going to lose playing time.

I think I like the idea of LMA more than how it might play out it reality. Like WW just said, it would lead to some kind of minutes crunch. I don't think moving Frank or Nader out of the rotation would be a major issue but if we're looking at trying to get him 25-30 minutes, it might be tight. He's played the 5 pretty exclusively the past few seasons so the question would be whether we can split his minutes at the 4/5. Does he want to start? Could he play the 4 for us similar to Frank, then be the first sub out? On paper he's exactly the kind of skilled, experienced frontcourt vet we could use but you don't want to mess with the dynamic right now. Still, if any one of Crowder, Dario or DA miss time, we're pretty screwed up front.

Shouldn't be overlooked either that Monty was an assistant in Portland from 2005-2010 when LMA was first coming into the league and Jones also played a season with him in Portland 07-08.

Hollinger did a re-draft of the 2019 draft putting Cam 6th.

Ya Miami makes some sense. He can replace Meyers Leonard.

Would you guys have interest in Javale as a buyout guy? He’d be an easier fit to where we’d just say, hey you might play a few minutes here and there, but no locked in rotation minutes.
Yes I like him. I would even put up a late second for him tbh. Not sure what his contract situation is though.
1 year 4.2 million. Think including any of our minimum contract guys would be enough salary

I get you don't want to mess with what is working. Kaminsky and Nader would be out of the rotation, and Cam's minutes would probably decrease as well. But but adding Aldridge means injury insurance, playoff experience and some go-to ability left as long as you don't need to rely on him for long stretches. If he is ok with being just a rotation player, I say go for it.

IMO one of the smart guys I follow, film breakdowns and numbers crunching is always interesting to me. He's a CP3 fan but don't think this has nothing to do with that, just someone acknowledging Mikal's growth 8-)

Which teams did he have Nader on? Has anyone ever been 1st team All-NBA, MIP, MVP, and DPOY in the same season?

Giannis did 3 last year...and did the other in a different year

So Abdul Nader would be the first to do all 4 in a single season?

Dave King threw out Whiteside. I like that option significantly more.

I don't think McGee is a Jones type. I also think if we're relying on him, we've already lost.
