Do we think CP3 catches Kidd?

If he plays as long as Kidd, which would be about 300 more games, I think Paul would pass Kidd.

Ya for sure, I’m thinking it’d take 3 maybe part of a 4th year. Assuming he stays healthy

My money would be on "no." CP3 would have to stay at his current level for 3-4 more years to do it. That's hard to do. And CP3 doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who would stick around and cling to the league if he were a shell of his former self.

Early on, but Mikal is shooing 92% at the rim this year and 70% from 3-10 feet. Get to the rim Mikal!

It feels like 90% of his shots at the rim are fast breaks or open back door cuts.

Ya I’m pretty sure they are. He obviously won’t shoot as high on contested rim attempts, but I’m just all for Mikal trying stuff. His percentages are so high that he’s definitely too conservative with his attempts. I’d just like to see him try and get all the way to the rim sometimes when he attacks close outs. He’s shooting 50% from mid range on the season, which is also pretty good, but I still want to see him more aggressive.

It's early, to be sure, but CP3 is first in assists and fifth in steals in league statistics.

Not bad for a 36 year old.

Ugh. Hope this isn't one of those lingering things. Speaking of the game tonight, who's up for the game day thread? We've got a nice little winning streak going with various posters.

I'm just glad we've got this guy standing by:
Suns Vice Chairman Jahm Najafi issued a statement Thursday morning calling the conduct alleged in the ESPN story ”unacceptable.”

“I have been made aware of the allegations against Robert Sarver, the managing partner who runs the Phoenix Suns. The conduct he is alleged to have committed has stunned and saddened me and is unacceptable. The well-being and safety of every Suns employee, player, coach and stakeholder is first and foremost our priority. My sincerest sympathy goes out to all whose lives and professions have been impacted,” Najafi said.

“I am personally committed to helping eradicate any form of racism, sexism, and bias, which is unacceptable anywhere in our society. I have partnered with the NBA Foundation to underscore this commitment. The Phoenix Suns is a national treasure that belongs to all of us as fans and residents of our community,” he added. “Team investors are simply temporary stewards of this treasure. It is our job as stewards to ensure everyone is treated respectfully and equally. Although today’s revelations fall under the jurisdiction of the League which decides and takes any action based on its finding, I offer my support to ensure there is full accountability.”

Earlier this year Najafi, a minority owner of the team, pledged $10 million for the NBA Foundation to boost economic development in Black communities.

One could make the connection to DA sitting tonight out after Rose's comments about Sarver and DA on ESPN...if one were so inclined.

Good point. This Sarver thing is a dark cloud over the whole organization for now. I hope the NBA investigation is fair but not too prolonged. I see us ending up in one of two places. One potentially good and one bad and worse than we were before.

1. Sarver is ousted and that other rich guy takes over from the same ownership group.

2. Sarver is cleared except his reputation has taken yet another hit and we move on with what we got but less goodwill all around.

I guess a possible 3 is that we end up back where were if enough comes out to clear Sarver's misogyny/racism tendencies defamation.

I know most of us observe Book's hott n cold stretches with the 3pt shot but for sure Split and Indy always wondering/tracking his percentages.
Thought of you guys as soon as I saw this tweet. I mean it isn't too bad at the moment, can't remember how many he took tonight but yes consistency with the pull up 3 can really make Book super lethal as we already know.

35% is not bad. Means his catch and shoot percentage was pretty awful. If he can stay at 35% on pull-ups, I’m sure his catch and shoot will move up to the high 30’s at least and we’re looking at a 37% season from Book. I’d take that.

Ayton wasn’t even on the bench for the Atlanta game, correct? Are we sure he’s not sitting out for different reasons? And yes I mean Sarver.

Rankin later noted DA was in the lockerroom during the game.

This does kind of feel like it's lining up to be something related to Sarver and the team is using the injury as a cover for him sitting out rather than having it blow up publicly. That's assuming the Jalen Rose stuff is true and DA or his people were able to confirm it.

Might just be a coincidence with the timing of everything. You almost hope he's really injured, in a messed up kind of way.
