Wow....
I said his highlights always tantalize but he would be inefficient and turnover prone at times (then he totally cooked us the 2nd game lol)

Still tho, surprised to see him struggle like this
► Show Spoiler
Of course he had to have the game of his career against us. And who was that with the buffering error at the end of the clip when Harkenstein goes down? Was that Hubie Brown?

Why is it always us, though?

He's only had 3 games shooting 50% or better, and 2 of them were against us. He's only had 3 double-doubles, and 1 of them was against us.

We better win two in San Antonio.

I'm fine with Suns being super cautious with Book this time around and thinking long-term
This is the only downside because I truly believe he will be a constant in this discussion when he's not missing games

If everything goes well, none of the Suns trio will have the stats or the usage to be compared with ball hoggers like Luka, or clear cut number one options like Giannis and Embid. Hub guys like Jokic and Curry will also get more visibility over a balanced attack that renders 75 points at least from three different guys, with no one dominating every single night.

Not even if the Suns go wild on a 70 win campaign, then the media will talk about it from the super team angle. I don’t care, I prefer the big trophy over any other accolade. We already had an Two Time MVP, another MVP, they got all kind of hardware the year SSOL broke out, and also recently a record shattering Nº 1 seed.

All of that proved worthless to counter the bitter taste of defeat at the end. I would as far as saying, it distracted the team from the real prize, specially the latter of all my examples. Even on the last Finals run, “Suns in four” proved being a doom distraction… I will always dread that gimmick, a hubris peak just before crash and burn.

I don’t want any more accolades, I want the BIG trophy. Hopefully the team feels the same.

You mean the In-Season Tournament, right?

I think Sasser impressed most of us the other day and he's been playing well
This is interesting, no secret he's been upset about his playing time

I hope “illness” doesn’t mean mental.

The "parades" at the airport after winning a playoff series in 2021 were especially painful.

There’s nothing from his past to indicate that could be the case.

If there’s anything nefarious going on, it’s likely just having an issue with a reduced role on the team. It was always kind of a strange pick for the Pistons.

Probably just another player Monty can't handle coaching/doesn't want on his team. At least the Suns' front office was up front about Crowder.

Jae Crowder has sucked since leaving the Suns and he sucked quite a bit during his last season in Phoenix as well.

Irrelevant to my point. But 9/4/2/1 as a bench player on a career-high .543 FG% and a career-high .533 3FG% this season is sucking?

It's completely relevant because Monty wanted to rightfully start Cam Johnson in his place but Crowder couldn't handle it because he needed a new contract.

He's started 25% of the games, and yes, he sucks.

Monty is obviously a player killer. Just look what he did to Booker.
