Nice win against a shitty Lakers team. I know Leuer doesn't have a stat like that justifies his starts but he does the little things that make the team better. Markieff can take the year off if he'd like.
Ball movement, focus, and overall effort have noticeably improved.

The guards have been playing out of their minds. I think part of it is due o weak competition lately though. Time will tell.

Russell moves a bit slow but I also think his lack of success comes from Byron Scott. I am not sure he is good at putting his players in the best position to succeed or playing to their strengths. I think he's more of a "you play in my system" kind of guy which will get him fired here in the next year because the Lakers don't put up with being shitty too long. With that being said I hope they extend his contract.

I watched Russell play all last year. Sure he's a bit slow in the NBA but he's got great IQ and court vision and knows how to score. I understand why they took him over Okafor.

On Booker's two minutes. It seems like Hornacek trying to get reserve players more extended minutes when he does play them. So Archie may get 20 one night while he sits and Booker gets 20 another night. That probably is a good idea. It helps a player get a little rhythm in game rather than just getting 8 minutes here or there.

Gotta like Knight's numbers through 10 games. 20/5/4 on .544 ts% and only 23 years old. If only that Lakers pick weren't looking so juicy....

That fast break sequence starting with then Len block to Warren to Bledsoe back to Warren for the oop all without one dribble. That was a thing of beauty.

i also liked what i saw out of archie. it feels like he's still a little unsure of himself but his athleticism is showing. he can stand to improve his handle a little and then just be more assertive with the drive to the basket. there were two consecutive scoop shots that he took where i wish he wouldn't avoid the contact and just went straight at the rim. obviously if he had a better jumper it would also help his game, but general aggressiveness i liked.

The ball definitely has moved a lot faster in the last few games.

Let's hope management notices that, also, and it prompts them to move his unhappy carcass sooner than later.

So some douche-bag in a lakers hat/jersey was behind Tom & Tom in the post game show last night screaming "PHoenix SUX! Phoenix SUX!" over and over and it just reminded of the types of people who are Laker fans.

I dont enjoy NFL games because of the idiot fans from opposing teams getting drunk and starting fights and the only NBA fan base that is comparable is the Lakers.

I read somewhere that Kieff wasn't at the game last night? Anyone able to confirm that?

I thought about you last night, EDC. You had to be pleased with Len's play and his time out on the court.

I can't find him on the sidelines on the archive of the game. I paused it during some overhead shots of the bench and he's not there. But... I don't see Price either. Maybe they were in the locker room getting treatment? Dunno.
Go Suns!

I can understand Price due to the concussion protocol but Kieff just has a sprained knee. He should have been out there.

30p/15a/10r/4s has been reached by four players in NBA history:

Earvin "Magic" Johnson
"Pistol" Pete Maravich
Russell "Needs a Nickname" Westbrook
Brandon "AASE" Knight

Yeah he has been looking pretty rough out there in the previous few games. Was nice to see him play well last night.

Hornacek had 31/14/10/2 on 11/29/91 and 22/15/12/4 on 11/24/89, but never 30/15/10/4.

Since 1973-74 when steals were recorded. Jerry West, Oscar Robertson and Walt Frazier probably did this prior to that. And there's always Wilt of course.

Still, a pretty impressive game.

FTFY. There is no doubt that Wilt did this, many times.

In 1967-68 Wilt led the league in total rebounds (1,952) and assists (702) and is the only player in NBA history to do this (he was third in points scored behind Dave Bing and Elgin Baylor). He averaged 23.8/8.6/24.3 and had his 20/20/20 game that year.

(also, 1973-74 is the first year they record steals and blocks, which is what I was referring to)
