Going out to the 6th seeded Rockets in 95 after being up 3-1 is pretty damn bad.

But did they stop playing and get blown out?

Nope. But it did mean the end of the best era of Suns basketball up to that point. I was also a teenager so it hurt more. :P

They say the better team always wins a 7 game series. But the Mavs were clearly not the better team. We just quit. Weird that there haven't been any substantial rumors about it.
Yep, I can't think of a more disappointing exit in the history of my Suns' fandom. At least previous teams fought until the end and weren't totally humiliated.
And played well and simply lost to better teams. Arguably the worst choke in Suns history

More click bait stuff. Intriguing ideas. Our backcourt would be unguardable. With no center wreaking l havoc, I’m not sure how’d it would work. We’d be Warriors copycat.

Beal actually seems like one of the more obtainable stars. Believe Ayton plus a couple expiring works straight up for Beal as well. If Washington wants to retool, Ayton isn’t a bad place to start.

Beal isn't a superstar and Flex said "superstar" so I won't accept anything less.

Wasn't Nader referred to as "a major piece" or something like that when he said Paul was coming here with another guy?

We made the Finals last year and lost in the 2nd round this year after we cut him so maybe Doolie was more of a major piece than we thought.

I love all these "Ayton is garbage but we can trade him for a star" scenarios.

Personally, there's only one player in the NBA that I would trade Ayton for.

NOBODY IS SAYING AYTON IS GARBAGE! ALMOST EVERYONE HERE AGREES HE IS A TOP 5 CENTER IN THE LEAGUE!

James Harden? That would be a lot of guards in our backcourt. I don't know how I feel about that.

The 1981 loss to Kansas City was pretty humiliating.

No. Giannis Antetokounmpo.

So, like Dave King was saying, he's somewhere around the 30s in overall NBA rankings, but you don't want to pay him the 35th highest salary? And everyone wonders why he feels disrespected?

Flex did say something about someone else coming that he heard, but I took it as more of a FA signing…maybe it didn’t happen or maybe it was Crowder?

He is not in the 30s for overall ranking. That would mean that if you did a re-draft for the entire league, some GM would seriously consider taking him as their 1st pick, and nearly every GM would take him as their 2nd. He isn't close to that on his current contract, much less as a ~30-35M/year player.

He’s not a superstar. But he has led the East coast in scoring.
