Sauce is useful. Can rebound, has soft hands, sets good screens, hustles. The good teammate part is a bonus, like being a local. Would rather dump Chandler by a mile. Ulis is the closest we have to a floor general and is dirty cheap. I'd keep both if their cap space is not needed to make a move for a clear contributor. And if it is win or GTFO, you have to look first at Knight and Chandler.
Someone said that Chandler has kinda wanted out for a year or so. He was tight with Watson.

Can't pay a dude 5.5m to be a 3rd C. Just can't do that.

5M is 5% of the cap. This is not 2004 anymore.

I expect McDonough would love to just dump Chandler, Knight or Dudley to clear room to bring in virtually anyone else as replacements. Unfortunately it does not work that way. We cannot just tell a player under contract to just go away. Why even bring up their names in this conversation. We do have the ability to tell Williams, Ulis and Harrison to just go away. That is why their names are front and center.

I really see no one that can really help us that we can realistically acquire in free agency. Any important additions will come via trade. At that point Chandler, Dudley and Knight are in the picture. Along with future draft picks.

Dragic appears to be available via trade for very little. While not a long term fix, he could help jump start the Igor era. He may not be the best guard in the league but he would be just as valuable to us as the guards I have heard mentioned.

I would choose to keep Harrison over Ulis.

Where has it been reported the Heat are looking to trade Dragic?

I could be wrong but I think it was 2-3 weeks ago, it was a heat beat reporter that was saying the heat wanted to move Dragic to clear cap space for either this year or next year’s free agency. He even floated that the heat would let him go for as low as two second rounders.

So they're pushing to next Saturday the 30th, wonder if it has anything to do with FA on the 1st?

Also we're going to renounce Payton and Len.

I dont care what % it is, the dude doesnt have a place here. His 5m will be needed in FA.

Can't believe people are so into Alan Williams lol.

Was just coming to post this because that's exactly how I interpreted it.
That if they have a trade all but sorted that he's a goner also.....

Yeah it makes no sense to push it to a different day before July 1st. Strange way to procrastinate making a decision.

Somewhere Elfrid Payton is like, "but ... I cut my hair for them ... just like they asked... *sobs*"

Should have gone to a barber shop while in Orlando then. Novody was ever going to be more invested.

Wouldn't be surprised. He was meant to be the sargeant under Watson. Waste of time at this point. He is no teaching sh¡t and never did. His alumn is going to have his cap hold renounced.

I think you are wrong in saying he has no place on the Suns. We'll see if those 5M are actually needed for free agency, and if they can't come from another source.

He's a great guy, great story, but he can't switch on defense, can't make a jumper, he's an undersized stone age C who we shouldnt pay to just sit there. He's not gonna play over Chandler or Ayton, I'd rather Chriss/Bender get 3rd C clean up minutes.

If Williams somehow has added a solid jumper and lost 30 or so lbs while missing near the entirety of last season, cool, maybe he's worth paying, otherwise I just dont see it. His screens and high 5s arent hard to replace.

I think the Williams thing is easy. Decline the option and re-sign him for something slightly above the minimum.

I honestly wonder if Williams market value is higher than that--I dont have the stats, but my impression was that he was close to a double double machine before he was injured.

Draft related but now offseason news?

Great deal if you ask me, let's get him in the gym and coach him up. I think he's going to be a breakout star in SL if he plays.
