The Rockets have the right to swap picks with the Nets in 2023, 2025, and 2027. So why wouldn't the Nets acquire the Suns pick in those years and swap in the years when they control their own pick?

Am I missing something or is Gambo really this dumb?

Edit: I just remembered the Suns traded their 2022 pick, so they can't deal or swap their 2023 pick with Brooklyn. I guess he's right about just that one pick. I doubt that really matters in the bigger picture as it doesn't have much value. The 2025 and 2027 pick should have a higher priority for the Nets.
I’ve been saying this for awhile. The Nets don’t have any picks in 2024 or 2026, so we can’t swap picks those years.

We can trade 2023 because 2022 is in the past. So we can trade 4 firsts (2023, 2025, 2027, and 2029) and 1 pick swap (2028), or we can trade 3 firsts (2024, 2026, and 2028) and 4 pick swaps (2023, 2025, 2027, and 2029).

But we can’t do 4 picks and 3 swaps like you keep hearing all of these supposed NBA experts saying.

I would hate to lose both Bridges and Johnson, but a Durant/Booker/Paul/Ayton/Crowder lineup would be pretty formidable.

I've lost fondness for Crowder after the cheap shots he took against the Mavs and the absolute @$$ his play was for most of the playoffs. I'm ready to ship out Crowder, Payne and Shamet. Good riddance.

Both of these were completely unnecessary.

That last part isn’t right. Suns can trade or swap any picks going forward without restriction. Stepien rule only looks forward.

Edit: looks like Jeremy said this already.

You want a bunch of pansies on our team, In2? ;) Maybe it's nice to have a little dirty on our side for a change.

That first one is just a bad angle…from the other view it was clear Crowder didn’t do anything, Luka ran into Ayton and flopped.

The 2nd one looks like nothing too. Crowder is a flopper and he tried to sell that and bring that Dallas player with him. Refs missed it, but that’s stuff players all over the nba do all the time. Crowder and CP3 probably did similar things 20 times this year.

You can parse film from any game, regular season or playoffs, and there are instances of this every game.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

I tend to agree with sentiment most of the time, but in this instance I thought so in real time, and the replay didn't change my opinion.

Yeah, just looks like another Luka-falling-to-the-ground move and Crowder wasn't having it.

If we lose Bridges and Johnson, keeping Crowder might be good for continuity. We would be bringing back the same starting lineup, except upgrading Bridges with Kevin Durant.

Woj gets pieces, but never seems to know the whole story.

Every Woj or Marks mention on Suns for KD causes the pricetag to go down just a little.
