I never liked the 90s black jerseys, but for some reason I liked them last night. Ricky looked good in black, really accentuated his dark features and brought out his eyes and beard.
I really like the az flag elements. I think it brings the jersey together much better than the 90s black ones.

does everyone else wish there was someone else to be a color commentator instead of AMD? She knows an order of magnitude more about basketball than I ever will, but calling a live, high-speed game just doesn't fit her.
Lol :?
Just getting to watch it and I was wondering if she was ever a topic in here. She kills the games lol

Not a big fan, but she has become better as a color commentator.

The worst was when she was paired with Steve Albert.
The two would get off topic and talk about something that happened 25-30 years ago.
Meanwhile, there would be a dunk, a great defensive play and four other plays that went unnoticed why they blathered on ...

You can tell she has got coaching/feedback to focus on the current action and she is trying to do what other color analysts do, but it just seems unnatural for her. Again, I like when she just talks basketball. She knows so much. Let Kray call the game, and just add color. Especially since this is TV and we can all see what is happening.

Oops. AMD just says "Ayton has gotten a lot stronger"
What’s wrong with that. I hope it’s true.
Just hopefully not from whatever the diuretic was covering up
Hey, he paid his time.

Good solid win last night. Played tough throughout, took a couple shots from Minny but never let them gain control. Defense tightened up in the 2nd half, Bridges was everywhere, Book was hitting daggers down the stretch, Ricky with another big 3 late in the game, Dario looks like he might be rounding into form...just a solid, solid win. The defense is obviously better with Baynes out there as he can flash out and recover back, help deny guard penetration while not giving up position around the basket. Just a winning player.

Play of the game was Kaminsky picking up his 4th foul early in the 3rd.
So much this. And KRay kept going on and on about the Kaminsky fouls and I kept yelling at the TV "No one cares!". My gosh I can't stand our broadcast crew outside of EJ... Deposits a three, downloads a three (what does that even mean?), and many others that I just shake my [old] head at.

KRay is a football announcer, not a basketball announcer. He is serviceable at best.

Ray is an improvement over Steve Albert, who would go off on weird tangents at the drop of a hat.

I always got the feeling Steven didn't really care about basketball.

I think he is third in the NBA in assists at 8.something and has been averaging a lot more than that lately. The Suns really needed a pg capable of that and they got it. Am happy with Rubio’s play. I am greedy and want two good healthy centers too. I want to see what that team is capable of.

He’s up to 9.2, a career high. Also 1.9 turnovers, a career low.

I'll never understand how/why some people thought we were a joke for signing Rubio to that contract this offseason. I can understand joking on our draft (as much of us here did) but getting as solid a veteran PG as they come when we were starting GLeague waiver material last year...

Most folks in the media wildly underestimated Rubio and the effect an excellent pass-first PG could have on a talented but rudderless team like ours.

For almost 10 years you could just say the suns did something stupid and we wouldn’t be relevant enough for anyone to notice if it was true or not. And most everything we did over the last decade was stupid.

But that's literally their job to know players, teams and the league. Getting Rubio and thinking he'd help a young team with no point guard and no leadership wasn't even that farfetched. Rozier and DAR would've cost more, been higher risk with maybe lower reward IMO but we would've been lauded for signing either. And maybe it was just guys going for a "hot take" or a "haha stupid, inept Suns" angle but Rubio was never a joke of a player and this might be the perfect roster/situation he's been in. Just seemed like because we've been trash for 10 years meant that Rubio was a dumb signing and wouldn't work out. Nothing to do with basketball.
