Being "ten toes deep" is a euphemism for being fully committed.
Thank you. That's a positive thing coming out of Ayton.

TBH in not too concerned with the DA and Monty stuff...yet. DA needed this kind of summer to kind of grow up and learn that this is a business. I appreciate DAs grumpy behavior so far. He got punked in game 7. He should be grumpy. Name a great player who hasn't come into a season pissed off?
To me this kind d of off-season may what have been needed to wake up the sleeping giant. We shall see.

"I can show him better than tell him" is the most refreshing thing I've heard in the last two days. I've been waiting for that Ayton for 5 years now.

I'm sorry to say I'm sensing a lot of inner turmoil on this team.

Seriously though, I'm wondering if there is an issue between Ayton and his teammates. I haven't seen them interacting much if at all so far. Keeping my eye on that.
At this point, I would not be upset if the new owner brings in a new GM and coach. That's probably the only way to repair things with Ayton at this point--if the new owner likes him and wants to commit to him.

Ayton got put in timeout after game 7 and Monty left his ass there all summer. Now we gotta pay for it with this bs. Sure FO has leverage over Ayton but just using expectations and leverage isn’t good for team morale.
