Ya Jokic is clearly a max guy and top 6 or 7 player at worst. I’m just not sure he’s the mvp

They really trying to cut down on high spending. Seems dumb. It’s just a bunch of cheapskate owners that don’t want to spend like GS

Teams above the second luxury tax apron (17.5M) won’t be able to sign buy out market players in addition to not having the tax player MLE and not being able to send cash in trades. Just in time for us to start operating as a tax team. Tho I’m sure these new provisions on the cap will slowly be phased in.
Go Suns!

Pretty sure that list before 2013 includes Luc Longley and Tom Gugliotta.

Without sounding disrespectful, I honestly don't get it with Jokic. Nice player, nice numbers, his teams win in the regular season...?
Oh dear. You're now every non suns fan talking about Steve Nash.
Uh except he led his team to the WCF numerous times.

Jokic is tremendously overrated. Not only is he not MVP, I wouldn’t max him even. He’s so easily exploitable on defense and he can’t win in the postseason. No one is afraid of Denver
Haha, like Nash wasn't a turnstile.

Now hearing that these tax teams can’t take in more money than they send out. This doesn’t seem to be a good deal for the players? Only small market teams that rely on revenue sharing. I’m surprised they agreed honestly.

Is anybody afraid of anybody in the West? Besides maybe us? Fwiw I have a healthy respect / bit of fear toward Denver myself. I think we can beat them if healthy, but they will not be an easy out at all. They have finally got all their guys healthy and have been improving their roster for years now. They're a deserving #1 seed in the West and will likely have a strong chance of going to the NBA Finals.

It feels like these CBA changes are going to hurt the Suns in the coming years. We are capped / taxed out, and now with this new CBA, we won't have as much ability to sign or trade for new players to get better. Losing that taxpayer midlevel is really going to hurt; we could have used that this offseason to sign a fairly substantial new player.

The changes would be hurting the Suns if they were all implemented right now, but that's thankfully not the case. There will be time for the Suns to adjust their cap sheet and at the end of the day you're still elated to have possibly the best offensive duo in the league, Devin Booker and Kevin Durant.

Don’t think we’re over that second tax apron this summer anyways. But future summers it would hurt us.

Baseball is worse…there’s no restrictions. I think there’s already enough restrictions on basketball. They essentially created a hard cap

Because his teammates were great too. Jokic doesn't have anyone on that team near as good as Marion or Amare, much less both.

Poor Mavs. It's hard to watch. I just love their two star players so much.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

ChatGPT again? j/k

I liked Luka a lot more when he just played and didn't whine after every play... Kyrie's got some issues... physically he's fine; mentally, not so much.
