Mat seems to have gotten a lot better at this since February.

I'm not going to claim to be familiar with Jordan Goodwin, but "excellent defender" and penning him into the rotation seems overly optimistic at this point.

This is the 2nd time a star has handed himself to James Jones. The allure of Booker must be incredibly high around the league.
LOL. James Jones could hand you a winning Powerball ticket and you'd somehow figure out a way to not give him credit.
Stop me when I'm lying lol.
I don't believe the idea that Beal would only go to Phoenix.
Maybe, maybe not, but I'd be willing to bet Ishbia has more pull than JJ. There's also a chance Washington just preferred the cap room to whatever Miami was offering.
I'm sure you'll hand all the credit to James Jones when the next move that doesn't work out as planned pops up.

People did it with Bazley, so this is to be expected.

What about Jerami Grant, Thybulle, Reddish and #3 for Ayton. Does Portland do that?

I think Miami was unwilling to spend the draft capital it needed to offset cap relief that the Suns deal could provide.

Goodwin's a bit like Okogie, makes plays on the ball but his offense can be real rough. Also reminds me a bit of Ty-Shon Alexander too.

All of those guys are free agents, so it's not even possible even if they were dumb enough to try.

Honestly I can give him a break, whether I like the way the Suns are doing business or not, we've got as good a shot at a title as anyone else next year now.

So basically, we hope he doesn't have to play real minutes in the Spring.

That AST/TO ratio is promising. Maybe there's something with him, I'm just not holding my breath and not really interested in watching Wiz replays from last season to form a solid opinion right now.

You can hear the collective wailing from Wizards nation. What an awful trade for them.
Does Jones get any respect from you for this?

Ah yes, a highlight package against the Charlotte Hornets.

Seriously though, I like his measurables and contract. He's not an insignificant addition to the trade.

Now the Shamet contract makes sense. Jones was playing the long game. ;)

This is highway robbery. Almost makes up for the lopsidedness of the Durant trade.

How can the Suns build a roster around the Triumvirate? I think that everyone knows the Suns will trade Ayton, so the pickings will be slim. I suspect that they'll end up having to keep him and do what Jeremy suggests.

We could try to trade Payne into cap space, and not have to pay him anything.
