Hornacek regretted going to the starters and taking out Mirza Teltovic, T.J. Warren and Jon Leuer during the 18-0 Pistons run.
“Every time the ball stops moving, we can’t win,” Teletovic said. “When the ball moves, we’re an unbelievable team – one of the best in the NBA. Once the ball stops moving and we got to pick-and-roll and stop dribbling, we can’t win. For me, it’s hard, when you have a game won and then you lose at the end.”

Leuer and Telly have both outplayed Keef this season by a wide margin. Keef will surely complain about losing his starting job — take a drink if he calls it "a slap in the face" — but should consider himself lucky to be in the rotation at all the way he's playing. Not to mention making $8M per.

Bobster calls Kobe the worst rotation player in the league. I think we have our own contender for that title.
For me, it’s hard, when you have a game won and then you lose at the end.
Frustrating as it was for fans, can you imagine how it must have felt for the players who had it won to watch that collapse from the bench?

At this point I'd rather have Cory Jefferson get minutes rather than Keef. Sure he isn't as talented but he was in there fighting every possession. I watched him carefully.

At least Hornacek and some of the players seem to get what went wrong, and how it can be avoided in the future.

Better late than never! Welcome to the club! :P

And we are all here about 2 years later than INF.

I mentioned this after going to the public scrimmage. That guy isn't talented, but he fights constantly. He was talking on defense the entire time he was on the court, during a SCRIMMAGE. It was great to see and I would be happy to see some of that habit rub off on the rest of our team.

I have defended coach a lot, but I was screaming at the TV with those substitutions late in the game. Ride what got you there! Don't change strategies after you get a lead!

Until he demonstrates the ability to avoid it in the future, it's all hot air. Coach is on thin ice with me. He consistently fails to make the right call when it comes to rotations and substitutions.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

I have seen a gazillion Suns games in my lifetime and have seen a lot of teams choke right when their victory seemed assured. You can pin the blame wherever you like but, in the end they didn't get stops and they didn't hit shots. For me the team lost. The team choked. It happens. Especially young teams finding themselves.

I have been enjoying watching the new guys try to win me over. Luer, Teletovitz and Booker have stepped it up and surprised me. TJ is looking even better and ready for prime time. He reminds me of a Ceballos that can shoot. Knows how to get open under the basket.

I like that Chandler is out because it gives Len more time to find himself.

I am mister anti trade guy around here but, have we traded Morris yet?... those offers should be coming in any second now.

Yeah, forgot to mention the Cory Jefferson sighting. He held his own I thought.

Apparently, INF has totally given up.

Can't say I blame him too much. We are firmly in "malaise" territory lately.

I'm disappointed to say, I didn't manage to find this game online last night either. Very bummed.

What would you guys be willing to take back in a Morris trade, in a realistic scenario right now?

I don't think a first round pick is ever gonna happen, unless it's the type we gave up for Brandan Wright. But personally I wouldn't mind 2 second rounders at this point.

2 2nds is probably what he'll garner, maybe an expiring contract if we're lucky.

I'd gladly ship him off to Houston for Motie or Detroit for Johnson, but those are just day dream scenarios.

If we still had the ability to pluck gems out of the second round in the late 80s to early 90s, then that's not a bad haul. But given our draft record lately, oh well.

I can see the Motjie scenario. Detroit would not give up a first round pick for Morris, so Johnson is, as you said, a dream scenario. This has been said before so I'm probably beating a dead horse, but Markieff and Marcus are being real idiots with their current behavior, as no team will ever reunite them again. It's basically the workplace romance scenario, when it works it works well, but then when it blows up, wow fireworks. So I would say all of Detroit is probably off limits. Toronto...? Washington? But there isn't anybody on those rosters that I would want. No thanks to Nene, no thanks to any of Toronto's bigs, maybe just second rounders.

I would be happy to package him and PJ for an expiring and a couple 2nd rounders, but I would hope Ryan could get more.

At this point I feel like we need to move Markieff sooner rather than later, whereas PJ might have a little more value towards trade deadline time when it's obvious that some contenders could use that extra bit of help to put them over the top. I could see us selling PJ as a stretch four to the Raptors, for instance (Wizards already has Dudley), or to the Thunder as a defensive "specialist" at the two/three to help balance out the offensive unit as well as help keep Kanter palatable. So I suppose my point is, even if PJ is less talented and older than Markieff, one for one he may fit needs better and bring back slightly more in a trade.

If Kieff was playing like these past two seasons, you'd have leverage to demand something relevant, especially if it was a package with other pieces from Phoenix.

If his %s were at least in the low 40's FG and low 30's 3pt, I'd say you could push for expirings plus a positive asset.

But right now, I think he gets you either cap space or the aforementioned positive chip but not both with few possible exceptions. Detroit, maybe.

If you want something to use on the court, there's always the old struggling veteran shuffling alley.

Detroit gets: Kieff, Bojan Bogdanovic.

Brooklyn gets: Reggie Bullock, 2ndR from PHX (the one we got for Marcus), trade exception.

Phoenix gets: 2016 lotto protected 1stR from Pistons, Jodie Meeks (injuried foot, 6M+ next season), Joel Anthony (2.5M expiring).
