As recently as last week, Hornacek said he reached out to Porzingis via text message but indicated there was no response.
Have Abby text him, he'll respond then, guaranteed.
Now there's some outside the box thinking... Or is that inside the box thinking?

Seems like a good hire there for Orlando.

Hammond was rumored for the Suns GM job a couple of times in the past. I figured Orlando would want to go the proven GM route after Hennigan's turn there.

Hard to believe how bad Hennigan was, yikes. Bad draft, bad trades, makes McD look like a genius.

Interesting to see what this means for Orlando in the draft. Milwaukee was willing to take some risks(antetekonmpo, maker) they seemed to like long, versatile bigs. Isaac seems to fit that mold, he's make an interesting pairing with Gordon. They've got a lot of bigs though and need some back court help.

Why would MIL let a guy go who was building a good team? Do they not want to be good?

Think they are contemplating letting Kidd run things?

I've heard they've had an assistant GM they've been grooming. Justin Zanik. At least according to Woj

Not sure you can let Kidd run things in the modern NBA. He's fairly anti-analytics.

I didn't say it was a good idea.

I can't even guess, but it sounds like the kind of thing MIL would do. I hope not. Kidd looks like a good young coach, I would hate to see him do a Pitino. Nobody can wear both hats in today's NBA.

He can be Prez and install a FO guy he knows and trusts to do the day to day. Similar to JVG and Otis Smith in Detroit. Wouldn't be surprised in someone connected to the Knicks or BK heads out there. The Bucks have been bringing east coast/NYers out there to the FO. Bobby Marks could be a name.

I guess Zanik isn't getting the job. Bummer for him.

He could still get the job. People go from interim to permanent fairly often. Isn't that what we did with Watson?

I would think they have to interview, officially, especially because he is another white guy.
