i dont know if people here consider michael kidd gilchrist a bust, but josh jackson could end up like MKG, only worse.

I think he's got more offensive skills than MKG, less "power" to his game. But swingmen drafted so high tend to not live up to their draft position.

josh jackson is a worse shooter than MKG, if you can believe that.

Really? You mean at the freethrow line or everywhere?

Let's face it, this team desperately needs a shot doctor. JJ isn't the only problem.

These are the players' formative years. Now is the time to fix this.

Damn, maybe we should just release him right now and cut our losses. No reason to even waste our time developing him, since he is going to be worthless.

Or take him out back and shoot him, like a horse with a broken leg.

I'd need to do a deep dive into stats and shot charts but my first instinct is that MKG gets most of his pts inside so the FG% may be skewed.

I'd ask him to shoot himself, but he would probably miss.

Ok, so I looked up the stats and SDC is full of it.
Here is MKG's stats:
Totals Shooting Per Game
Season Age College G MP FG FGA 3P 3PA FT FTA ORB TRB AST STL BLK TOV PF PTS FG% 3P% FT% MP PTS TRB AST
2011-12 18 KENTUCKY 40 1245 160 326 13 51 143 192 103 297 75 39 37 87 97 476 0.491 0.255 0.745 31.1 11.9 7.4 1.9
Career 40 1245 160 326 13 51 143 192 103 297 75 39 37 87 97 476 0.491 0.255 0.745 31.1 11.9 7.4 1.9

Josh shot more 3 pointers at a much better % and more fgs period at a better. He only shot free throws at a lower %.

We should still shoot him. Let's not let facts get in the way.

I thought the low ft% meant that the 3pters don't count? Don't the refs review the game, look at a guy's shooting form, look at his free throws, and determine if a player should really have made the shot?

I think I heard that too. That's why results of games change post game. There is no need to celebrate right after a close win, just wait in the locker room with your teammates while the judges give you the thumbs up or down. Then celebrate without worry of fans rushing the court and hurting you. The damn Russian judges though...

This is a "greater good" situation. Better to shoot him now before he fulfills his mass murderer destiny.
