Stein says Okafor may push for a buyout now. I don't get it how Philly got basically nothing out of Noel and Okafor.

There's no way they do that until after the trade deadline though, right? He'd be forfeiting his Bird rights.

What's the deal with Okafor? I didn't see much of the Sixers last year when he actually played, but how could he be viewed this poorly?

Can't defend; doesn't spread the floor. Just wants to hog the ball and post up or work inside, which is now known by advanced stats to be a low return on investment.
Guys like him, Al Jefferson, Greg Munroe are more of relics of the NBA of yesteryear. Not the kind of big teams want anymore.

Monk had a 25-point game including 19 in the 4th Q last night. He hasn't been shooting well so far, but starting to come around.

He'll get it. He's just been having a rookie start to the season. But I don't think he's in the best situation for himself, either. He would do much better playing alongside a big passing guard. He and Kemba must make the smallest backcourt in decades.

Well when they get Batum back it should afford a guy like Monk more opportunities and open shots.

I think Monk's problem is that he's too obsessive-compulsive. And he should focus on basketball and cut out all the detective work!

I love his syncopated rhythms and melodys though. I'll tell you that.

Wow. It is such a crazy stat that it almost looks fake. The Spurs have been the NBA's model franchise since Duncan first showed up.

I was hoping we'd have the opportunity to kick them under .500 but it looks like they play the Hornets tonight.

Charlotte by the way has won 3 straight against Orlando, @Memphis, and Milwaukee. Not a bad little stretch.

I had to share that stat with just about all my buddies, I have learned to respect them over time after just full on hate lol but yea quite ridiculous that stat is. As for the other not too fancied team around these parts , D'angelo returning to LA tonight should be fun(ny)

Cleveland needed a win badly, so Lebron played with full effort for a game.

9 games in and Lonzo is averaging a nice 7 assists and 7 rebounds
but
making less than a third of his shots and about HALF of his free throws!

it's reasonable to think his shot will improve as he becomes more comfortable in the nba
but not being able to stand at the free throw line and make shots? he's a point guard, not Shaq

will be interesting. despite his value as a play maker, can he still be starting for the Lakers next year without a shot?
