Center of the Sun
Center of the Sun
In what has become a recent Suns tradition, the Suns have too many players at one position.
The Suns currently have 3 healthy big men and then there is Alan Williams on the injured list. 2 of them are on expiring deals.
The Monroe and Len combination looked ok but Chandler came back and Len gets the DNP. Not enough minutes to go around.
Monroe's offensive has looked good but he likely doesnt have a future here.
What are everyones thoughts on how to manage the current situation and what to do going forward?
I'm hoping we are able to find a trade for chandler, even if it is for 2nd rounders. The showcasing of Monroe is going well. However both those guys have sizable salaries and we'd likely have to take back something longer in a trade.

Re: Center of the Sun
Of the three, I'd like to see Chandler go first. I hope we don't lose Len after he's just started to bear fruit. We have to pay somebody some day anyway, so trade Chandler and pay Monroe or Len. The good thing is we have until the end of the season to continue to evaluate Len. The bad thing is he may walk no matter what we decide.

Get Chandler out of here.
Re: Center of the Sun
Well there are 15 roster spots + two way contracts so there's bound to be a glut at some position
Re: Center of the Sun
Three viable centers with another one on IR is pretty much unprecedented in Phoenix Suns history!

And we find ourselves in need of a good PG, which traditionally has been a Suns forte.

I think it honestly might be as simple as we're not trading Len. We need to showcase Monroe and Chandler by December 6th so we can clear a roster spot for Mike James.bajanguy008 wrote:still not quite sure how Len became the odd man out so quickly

Boy, if you want a sentence to sum up the depressing state of the 2017-18 Phoenix Suns, there it is.We need to showcase Monroe and Chandler by December 6th so we can clear a roster spot for Mike James.
