Warren Passed the ball!!! Chriss with the dunk is nice, too.

Chriss with a nice game. Did get a technical of course. He's team high +10

Well, our starters are doing OK, but the bench just isn't/ Bender particularly bad tonight. He's had a couple of good defensive plays, but not like we are used to from him.

I swear Dudley is our 3rd best player.

Nice split of the trap by Jackson. Then gets called for a questionable foul. Looked like a foul in Mahinmi to me.
Re: Game Day: Wizards (13-11) @ Suns (9-17), Thurs 12/7/17
He leads the team in plus minus for the season. He and Chriss were the only players with a positive plus minus last time I checked. Which was before the raptors game.O_Gardino wrote:I swear Dudley is our 3rd best player.

Mike James just can't get through the Wizards defense.

Terrible call. Runs into his own guy and Daniels gets called for the foul.

Do they still fine people for flops? Mahinmi flops and refs rightfully call him for a foul.

Mike James with the Mike James Special tonight (1-9 shooting).

Yeah, Bender is becoming more and more disappointing. He just shows no intensity or aggression. He doesn't fight for rebounds or go after loose balls. He just runs back immediately.Shabazz wrote:Mike James with the Mike James Special tonight (1-9 shooting).

He easily has the highest basketball IQ on the team. By far.O_Gardino wrote:I swear Dudley is our 3rd best player.
Compared to him, Earl Watson is playground assistant.

Since he got hit in the face. I saw him adjust that mask mid play twice yesterday. Instead of going for a rebound, he reached up for his mask.Superbone wrote:Yeah, Bender is becoming more and more disappointing. He just shows no intensity or aggression. It's hard to develop two players at the same position, for one thing.
Agree that Bender is much more passive with the mask.

Man, that is the one thing I wish our front office would learn. There's only one starter at each position, only one sixth man, and it's hard to develop someone when somebody else is getting all the minutes at their position.LazarusLong wrote:It's hard to develop two players at the same position, for one thing.

You guys are right. Funny thing is that I would take Bagley this year and ship off one or both of these guys so I could develop him instead. Then try to make a trade or use free agency to get a center.

How the F does Bender play only 7 minutes and have a -18 on the game? WTF was he doing? I didn't watch the game and I'm asking for a friend.

It was obviously a really bad 7 minutes. +/- though is a team stat, not an individual one. It all depends on who he plays with. He was on the court with Mike James a lot.In2ition wrote:How the F does Bender play only 7 minutes and have a -18 on the game? WTF was he doing? I didn't watch the game and I'm asking for a friend.

He was just very passive. He played his usual good positional deference, but didn't compete for rebounds at all, and on O he looked like last season's Bender.In2ition wrote:How the F does Bender play only 7 minutes and have a -18 on the game? The second unit came in at at the end of the 1st quarter up 12 and left early in the 2nd down 6. James / Daniels / Warren / Bender / Len. Len got like all of his rebounds in the second half, James couldn't get around the wiz defense at all, every shot by that unit was contested and out of position for Daniels and Warren, and we probably had half our TOs during that span. IIRC, The Wiz got a ton of putbacks and transition hoops in that span.
Duds replaced Bender in the second half, and that helped our spacing and ball movement, + Len started getting rebounds. But James was just as bad as Bender tonight; we just didn't have anyone to take his spot.
