Game Day: 76ers (16-19) @ Suns (14-23), Sun 12/31/17

This is a type of game where it makes you want Ayton. At the beginning of the season it was looking like Ayton and Young were the targets, but we'll see now.

I’m voting Young at this point. What we really, REALLY need is a player to help us put all our SEPARATE pieces together.In2ition wrote:This is a type of game where it makes you want Ayton. At the beginning of the season it was looking like Ayton and Young were the targets, but we'll see now.
There isn’t a player on this young team that is total garbage, but every player seems to play their game separately.
I suppose a great offensive scheme could mask the disjointedness I see, but a great “glue” guy would do wonders for this team. God help me, but Lonzo on this team would be a major boon, imho of coarse.

I do agree with this, but we also need a big-time center to neutralize those around the league on both ends.Bucktastic365 wrote:I’m voting Young at this point. Definitely agree, but there’s only so many bullets in the gun. In a fantasy world I’d love to get 2 top picks by emptying the coffers, but I can’t see any high lotto team biting.In2ition wrote:I do agree with this, but we also need a big-time center to neutralize those around the league on both ends.Bucktastic365 wrote:I’m voting Young at this point. Young/Doncic plus Bagley/Ayton would set us up wonderfully.

It would set any team up wonderfully. No one is doing that.

None of the current top teams in the NBA need that. Maybe in 5 years you do, but there would have to be a rule change. The way fouls are called, you win the game with speed.In2ition wrote:I do agree with this, but we also need a big-time center to neutralize those around the league on both ends.Bucktastic365 wrote:I’m voting Young at this point. Ulis with a cute box score line: 6 ast, 4 stl, 0 to.
On the other hand, 1-6 FG.

I'm fine with that. 6 assists to 0 turnovers is very impressive, as is 4 steals. Of course you would want a better shooting performance, but as long as 1-6 isn't the norm, I'm ok with it.Cap wrote:Ulis with a cute box score line: 6 ast, 4 stl, 0 to.

So is this another hit and run or are you going to be around for a bit this time, INF?

That's a pretty great stat line. He can work on the shooting percentage. I think his shot has the right general form and that he can be a decent shooter if he wants to be. The assists, steals, and (lack of) TOs are awesome.Cap wrote:Ulis with a cute box score line: 6 ast, 4 stl, 0 to.

The team is a little more watchable now that Booker's back.
Re: Game Day: 76ers (16-19) @ Suns (14-23), Sun 12/31/17
Just from a watchability standpoint, I love watching the team this year way more than last year. I love watching Booker, Chriss, Bender, and Warren take integral roles in our wins (remember when our wins used to come off the back of Tucker/Chandler/Plug and Chug vets?).Marty [Mori Chu] wrote:The team is a little more watchable now that Booker's back.
