never liked Westbrook or Carmelo and agree that they're team poison. the only down side of their down slide is that George may end up on the Lakers.JCSunsfan wrote:Westbrook and Carmelo are cut from the same cloth.Marty [Mori Chu] wrote: I did say, and still believe, that the 2017-18 OKC Thunder are garbage... OKC is not a well-designed team.
Westbrook is an incredible talent, but like Oscar Robertson, believes he is the alpha and omega of the NBA.
ADAMS is a solid 5, who hustles and moves well for his size.
Carmelo is an aging offensive player; he still has value, but should not be playing starter's minutes every night.
George is another solid talent, but seems to be marking time for his next big contract.
After that, there's a big talent drop off.
I was really underwhelmed about the lack of production and energy coming from OKC's bench.
Donovan has a team that is good enough for the playoffs, but nowhere close to the Warriors and the Rockets.
And the Spurs are a far smarter and cohesive team.

While I agree that OKC isn't going to the finals, I think it's a little cheap to knock them so much. They wont win it all, but they are miles ahead of us, and they might have whooped us if it wasn't the end of a road trip. Just sayin'.

Bender had at least one drive to the hoop where he layed it in.bajanguy008 wrote:that was some good stuff last night. felt Josh was a lil bit more patient when he got in the key and was able to find Bender on skip passes, I actually thought he had more than 5 asts.
only thing missing from Bender's night was if he had been chased off the line a couple times and put in on the floor and drove to the basket for two, and 1 or a dunk would have been awesome lol. that being said, I hope this does a bunch for his confidence shooting and if indeed teams start to chase him off the 3pt line that he is comfortable mixing things up.
oh yea I mentioned that Ulis hasn't inspired much confidence this season but he did well also

Nah, you've got to give Mori shit just like any other poster. Just because he runs the site now, he wouldn't want it any other way. We all knew him when it was Sose's site and Mori almost singlehandedly shut it down. Plus, he can take it.bajanguy008 wrote:Mori been quite adamant about how his feelings for that team for months so much so that as a newbie poster I been afraid to even comment in fear of being collateralIndy wrote:Wow. Please do! I have plenty of bad takes, garbage opinions, incorrect memories, etc. I'm just plain wrong more than my share. Call me on it. Disagree. Make fun of me. Talk about my mother. All of that is true. Don't worry, I'm still a Suns fan through and through! I go to a Suns/Warriors game in SF almost every season, and I wear Suns gear from head to toe. I cheer for our guys and not for the hated enemy. I do watch Warriors games on TV here when there isn't a conflicting Suns game on. But my heart is still in Phoenix (Tucson, really).Superbone wrote:Don't forget he lives and works in the Bay Area now too. This cracked me up:
Westbrook: "No, I can't, actually."

Reporter: "Can you talk about the Phoenix bench a little bit?"Westbrook: "No, I can't, actually."

I am not a fan of Westbrook, but look at his roster beyond George, Melo and Adams. It's extremely limited. Huestis, Jerami Grant, Patterson, Abrines, Felton (!!), Robertson...

btw, Mori, you've done a great job with this forum. i left years ago when things were too often out of control and hostile.
this is an excellent model for how to successfully maintain a forum at a time when many are becoming obsolete with all the social media competition (i'll be closing down a political forum i've been running for almost 15 years)
thank you
(sorry, off topic, i should know better)
