Wow, you'd think at least one player would have gone. Partly just to be a good teammate, and partly because I was under the impression that we had a decently large number of Christian players in the NBA, particularly among the black players. Weird.

Jonathan Isaac asked his teammates to come see him preach (admitting it was extremely hard for him to ask) and none of them showed up. Not sure why it was deleted. Here's a follow up.

I'm looking forward to the next Rockets/Clippers game. Maybe they'll bring knives to the game.

That's a tricky one. You'd hope some guys would at least go to support their rookie teammate but religion is always a sensitive topic. At the very least they could've (maybe they did) had a talk and let him know they support his off-court stuff but don't feel comfortable taking part. If they all just ignored and blew him off, that's not cool.

I want to know the subject of his sermon. To heck with being supportive, I'd have shown up just out of curiosity.

Yeah curiosity, I'm not afraid of someone trying to convert me, so support would also be a factor.

Cavs expected to make at least deal by deadline. Could they use Monroe, Chandler, or Len?

They could have used Bledsoe, hopefully they are desperate enough to lose perspective on that Brooklyn pick, wich also has lost value versus the beginning of the year.

I was thinking that Cleveland would try to get DeAndre Jordan. Maybe for Tristan Thompson plus the Brooklyn pick and bantha fodder, or something.

Celtic legend JoJo White is dead at 71. White, Havlicek and Cowens were the lynchpins of Boston's 70s teams.
Suns considered drafting White before they opted for center Neal Walk.

I don't think the Clipps are ready to blow it up.

They're a playoff team and if they can get up to the 6th seed, they could win a series. As long as they can stay healthy, that's the big question.

To blow it up would be admitting that Blake can't carry them in a playoff series.

On paper, they should have a shot against anyone who isn't the Warriors. But we all know that when the game is on the line, Blake isn't any better than Thaddeus Young.

I think Rivers has been exposed bit time in LA. People want to talk about the great job he's done, but he's had loaded teams and couldn't get anywhere.

I agree. He's had loaded rosters, but a flawed one with stars that can't stay healthy and missing key components and he's culpable in it's architecture. In a slight defense of him, the West is loaded every year.
