I'm glad Simmons recognizes us but no way is Kidd coming to this one horse town.

Stranger shit has happened. Cotton and Jerry did not end on the best of terms in Fitzsimmons' first turn as a coach.
Time has a way of mitigating things.

That said, Jason does have considerable baggage.

Dunno who I would target that far in advance.
Can I ask why you two have no interest in them?

I'd be interested in Aaron Gordon. Seems like he has been stranded out there in Orlando without the right coach or roster to work with.

Ya I like Gordon. He's cooled off from his hot start but he's still putting up 18/8/2 and shooting 35% from 3. I don't see Chriss ever hitting those numbers and I think Gordon would benefit from playing with Booker.

Jabari is kinda the pf version of Booker, albeit with big injury question marks. It would depend on how he comes back from this most recent ACL tear, but I'd look into it. Gordon is probably a better fit though as a booker-warren-parker trio would be pretty bad defensively. Parker can do just about anything offensively though.

Did you see Gordon hitting those numbers after his 2nd year where he averaged 9 points on 29% from 3?

Did you say this before the Milwaukee beat writer's report of Kidd angling for the Suns job that prompted Simmons' tweet?

He was the guy I wanted most in the 2014 draft. He was disappointing the first couple years but he's looking good now. The 29% doesn't surprise me, he wasn't a good shooter in college. I did think we'd see more defensive stats. I thought he had a little Marion in him, but the steals and blocks haven't really been there.

Still, he's an elite athlete, plays defense, can stretch the floor and has some decent ball handling and passing skills. He's a good prospect and good fit with Booker, skill wise and timeline wise.

I'm not suggesting he's not. It just seems like the only difference after their 2nd years is that you originally wanted one and not the other.

I actually wanted Chriss as well. I still am a Chriss fan and am hopeful he can be something, but Gordon was always a significantly better prospect.

I don't think Gordon's a fundamental basketball player. He's worked extremely hard to improve, but it's not natural. And he's still a tweener. Not a true big nor a natural SF.

Kidd to Phx...maybe not out of the realm of possibility I guess but I'd much rather stick with Triano for another year if we're talking about teaching and development. Or give Kidd the head coaching job and keep Triano on as lead assistant for Xs and Os. The thing with Kidd, and I do like him, is that it doesn't seem like he can be trusted. His move to Milwaukee was kind of shady, there was some talk of him trying to clean out the FO and put his people in or take it over himself, he apparently wasn't loved by his players or some of the beat writers. I think he's got a ton of basketball knowledge but that doesn't always translate to coaching. Might be best left alone. But put him in a room with Sarver and anything's possible.

It would be like hiring Robert Horry or Jerrod Mustaf or Cubby. Trade for the Morrii while we're at it.

Build a whole team full of contemptible people we love to root against. We'll tune in or show up to every game to root against those assholes and see them get embarrassed. The Gorilla will sodomize them in effigy.

A whole new business model. It's so crazy... it just might work!

Coaching talent aside, I just don't see Kidd and Sarver working together without it coming to blows. 2 bullies who love to belittle the people they work with? I just don't see it happening.

Ha. What has it been? Ten years, and that guy still haunts.

Kidd as coach would be my worst nightmare. He is a horrible coach. He makes Watson look legit.

Hell no to Kidd. I’d rather bring back Earl. At least he seemed like a good guy.

At least Joumanja(sp?) isn't pulling the strings anymore. Those two were made for each other.
