I thought we knew that? IT was told he could compete for a starting spot & he came into camp expecting to start. Then he threw a fit when we asked him to be the 3rd guard.1tinsoldier wrote:so in retrospect, perhaps it was Thomas and his agent that stirred the boiling pot that Dragic became so motivated to escape from

Jayson Tatum's 3-point shooting by month: October 50%, November 48%, December 45%, January 34%, February 30%.

I'd take Tatum's numbers. Not that it was an option.
Re: Around the League: Week 17 2/5-2/11
I was listening to the end of the Blazers/Jazz game tonight and I got a good laugh when Kevin Calabro who was once the Sonics play by play announcer (and is now the Blazers announcer) made a comment after Mitchell nailed a late three pointer. He said, "Boy, Donovan Mitchell just wants to shut the door emphatically here in Seattle tonight. Er..., in Portland, Oregon."
Poor Sonics fans.

I am more and more grateful we did not end up with Ball.

Re: Around the League: Week 17 2/5-2/11
if we had gotten the 2nd pick, the suns would probably have taken him
and if dad is busting Magic and the Lakers' balls, he would have stomped on the suns
and, again, it all reflects really bad on Lonzo for not correcting him
if they want all 3 sons to play together, it'll have to be in Lithuania

Yup. I've had some patience for a young man who doesn't want to disrespect his father in public, but it has clearly gotten to a point where speaking up is necessary. I understand his responsibility to his father, but he has a responsibility to his teammates too.1tinsoldier wrote: and, again, it all reflects really bad on Lonzo for not correcting him
Re: Around the League: Week 17 2/5-2/11
Exactly why I didn't want us taking him. Even if it's just LaVar being LaVar and talking loud for headlines, it's a distraction no team needs. And if LaVar is doing this with the Lakers, a team he wanted his son to go to, imagine if we had drafted him. It'd have been a nightmare.
Re: Around the League: Week 17 2/5-2/11
I do question whether anybody would even care what he says if he played in a less prominent media market like Phoenix or Minnesota or wherever. But yeah, Lavar has been awful.

That, plus I wonder how things shake out if Lavar didn't get his way on draft night.Marty [Mori Chu] wrote:I do question whether anybody would even care what he says if he played in a less prominent media market like Phoenix or Minnesota or wherever. But yeah, Lavar has been awful.
