Sarver: "We have too many turnovers. Fiz, hire somebody with ball handling experience."

Fizdale: "Way ahead of you boss."

Also a side note. My friend here in Indianapolis has worked a job in the room service business for over 10 years. He has told me about all the NBA players and coaches he's delivered room service to and one name that stands out is David Fizdale. He always tells me whenever he delivers to Fizdale's room that has a call girl/escort/hooker in there every time. Sometimes multiple females. I guess I expect that thing more from players but when I hear about it with coaches it's odd to me. My friend described his interaction with Fizdale as being a cool guy but I think because of this, me personally, I would be a little weird if he were the next head coach of the Suns.
Fizdale has the hottest wife out of any coach in American sports and that’s saying something considering the spouses of Spoelstra and Bellichek.

He has no reason to do any of this.

Isn't the USC basketball coach's wife a former model?

Bordow reporting that Suns are gonna interview James Borrego too. He’s with the Spurs now and with Magic before.

I don’t think this Budenholzer thing is happening if their adding candidates. Most people thought Budenholzer would be a “bang-bang” thing where they interview him and then offer him the job on the spot. Fact that their still adding more coaches to interview doesn’t bode well.

It was too good to be true anyway. Did anyone seriously think Sarver would pony up the $$$ for a top 10 HC like that? And the Suns still have the “laughing stock” label attached firmly to their franchise that I’m sure Budenholer hesitated as well.

Oh well. Hope they can hire a good cheap coach not an awful cheap coach. Kokosov should be cheap and a decent hire.

Good news is that this will likely be McDonough’s last hire :D

At the same time, they took a ton of shit for not interviewing multiple candidates last time. You can't have it both ways. They either do a good job with due diligence or they don't. It's not about the optics.

Bud is under contract with Atlanta. It was never going to be a bang bang hire. Plus, I don't know if we have even interviewed him yet. Report was this week sometime. It's only Tuesday.

Woj specifically reported “early this week”. Interview is done by now unless there were changes.

They took s*** last time because they hired a NO EXPERIENCE WHAT SO EVER basketball coach in Earl Watson.

Budenholzer is an actual top 10 proven coach.

I think there’s a slight difference there.

It's still early this week, even then they are going to be thorough and make sure they interview everyone. If they met with bud and he's interested, great! He's still under contract and Atlanta may require compensation for him. Why give up a 1st rounder for a coach when you don't even know if he's your top guy? Even if they decided bud was the guy, they'd have to negotiate with Atlanta. The whole process would take time.

Bad news is that McD is likely to mortgage the team's future to try to save his job with a good season.

Honestly, a year ago I might have agreed with you as I had no idea what he was up to, but now his plan is starting to come into focus. I have a feeling you guys along with everyone around the NBA are going to be in for a big surprise how good this team is going to be and be set up for a long sustained success.

Honestly, a couple months ago I might not have agreed with me, but his recent interviews have me worried.
