Not NBA, but I don't think I've ever seen that play executed so well.

That is crazy. I can't tell if he meant for the ball to go off the rim to the right like that or not.

I really expected the Wiz win for that chance at the 7th seed and Boston in the first round. They've quit on the season. Washington will be swept, and Scott Brooks will be gone this summer.

I wouldn't be surprised if wall is gone too. There are some issues there between wall and his teammates. That's a massive contract to trade though and I hope we stay away from him.

I totally blocked out his contract for some reason. So I went to look it up. Does anyone, anywhere, think he won't exercise his option for $47M in the last year (when he is 33 years old)? Holy shit.

 I did not remember that.

I just checked the historic standings. Washington was 4th in the East, 1/2 a game behind the Cavs when they started tanking. 7-13 to close out the season.

Isn't most of that record down to Wall being Out injured ?

Wall missed a total of 41 games, and was back for 4 of the games in that final stretch. The team was 14-8 without him before the nosedive.

Excellent. NBA players and teams need to practice such things. They obviously don't because most attempts I have seen have been lousy.

Imagine a world where players practice missing free throws to gain an advantage. This is a very meta concept in the era of complex analytics.

Yeah, I guess. I'm not talking about in the middle of a game. Just end of game situations when it comes up. And it does. NBA players should be ready to handle any situation.

Most of our roster has been getting lots of practice at missing shots this season.

Ok, question for you all. After seeing the teams that made the playoffs and just missed.

Who do you think has the best young core in the West? Jazz, Trailblazers, Timberwolves, Nuggets, Lakers or someone else?

Honestly, the Suns. I like Booker and Jackson more than all of them. I just hate everyone we have surrounding them, coaching and management included.

I wouldn't define the Timberwolves as young anymore. Thibs did what people are hoping McDonough is going to do. Shuttled off some of that youth for established vets. They still had Kat & Wiggins but added Taj, Teague and Jimmy Buckets. It's a solid enough core but if we're talking young core I would have to say the Nuggets. I like the trio of Murray, Harris & Jokic a lot. No one is a household name unless you're a hardcore NBA fan. I expect Juancho to eventually turn it around & become a useful NBA player as well. My question back is do you think they give Jokic a max extensions this Summer or do they wait? 18.5/10/6 is no joke. He's still only 23 and with those averages he led the team in points, rebounds and assists. Hehe.

Maybe it's my Laker hatred shining through but I'm not that bullish on Lonzo, Kuzma and Brandon Ingram. They could add some interesting veteran pieces this summer with something like $60M in cap space (more if they stretch Deng.) It's actually kind of gross how clean their books are right now. I'm just happy they aren't adding a top 5 pick this year.

Well, people seem to be tripping over themselves on how good each of these young cores are and how they will be good in the future. I was just thinking about how a young core of (hopefully) Booker, Jackson, Ayton, and Young(along with possibly Warren &). It would be the best core, imo hands down.

I agree. We are at a completely different stage though. They all have developed cohesive units. We just have a couple of shiny pieces. We have a long ways to go to compare ourselves to any of those teams.
