No interest in Schroder. Kemba, depending on what Jordan demands. I don't love the fit with Booker, but if he could be had on the cheap, he'd be worth the trouble. Can't see him making the allstar in the West, though, which is something to ponder when trading for guards from the East with a high cache.Split T wrote:Probbably a decent chance Kemba or Schroeder is our starting PG next year

Kemba is better than Bledsoe. But their statistical profiles are similar.Split T wrote:He's not Bledsoe. He's a good shooter and takes very good care of the ball. http://www.espn.com/nba/player/_/id/6479/kemba-walker
http://www.espn.com/nba/player/_/id/4238/eric-bledsoe
Walker: 22.1 PPG (.444 FG% / .384 3PT / .864 FT%), 5.6 APG, 2.2 TO/G, 3.1 RPG, 20.62 PER in 34.2 min/game
Bledsoe: 17.7 PPG (.476 FG% / .319 3PT / .786 FT%), 5.0 APG, 2.9 TO/G, 3.8 RPG, 19.79 PER in 31.5 min/game
Walker scores more, though he plays more minutes. He's a marginally better 3-point shooter. He turns it over less. I don't see a huge statistical difference.

Re: Who's your top guy at 16 if we keep the pick.
Now look at Kemba against Kyrie:
Kemba 22.1 points, 5.6 assists, 2.2 turnovers and .431/.384/.864
Kyrie 24.4 points, 5.1 assistant, 2.3 turnovers and .491/.408/.889
Kyrie is more efficient but he also had more help. I think Kemba would be more efficient in Phoenix.
The two big differences between Kemba and Bledsoe is that Kemba doesn't turn the ball over and he's a much better shooter. Those are like the two biggest complaints against bled.

I like jontay, but I don't see him as this can't miss prospect. Here's a good high post center who can shoot and pass, but is he going to defend?
Zhaire is the best athlete in the draft, plays D and his jump shot is coming along very nicely!

Do people still think Kevin Knox is a lottery pick? Gross. You are correct sir. Zach LaVine of this draft. His defense is stellar. He is just a fantastic asset, especially off the bench when an opponent is getting hot. He is like the guy in the Bourne movies who gets the text. "Bring in the asset.'In2ition wrote:I like Jontay a lot, but some also have Zhaire Smith as high as 6th in their rankings. Your not getting him at 31. Look into him a bit. I think he's underrated. Shoots over 40% from 3, has size and quickness to defend 1-3 and he defends at a really high level. Not a super advanced off the dribble game, but it's not non existent.In2ition wrote:I admittedly don't have a great feel for him, but 16 feels to high right now. That's fine, but until we actually add more players, there are minutes for Zhaire. I don't think Jontay is ready to play on a contending team either. Both guys will need to be worked in with smaller roles. Honestly could probably benefit from a real minor league system to play on for a year.
Re: Who's your top guy at 16 if we keep the pick.
I like Zhaire Smith at 16, if he drops that far. He looks like a more consistent, smarter Gerald Green. He’ll be deadly if he develops his 3-point shot.
Re: Who's your top guy at 16 if we keep the pick.
Long past time for a real minor league system to give players a viable alternative to the NCAA. Darius Bazley seems to think the G League already is that, but his decision AFAIK is unique. The G League needs better pay and better players; the former will help with the latter.Split T wrote:That's fine, but until we actually add more players, there are minutes for Zhaire.
