1989: Pervis Ellison
1992: SHAQ

2005: Andrew Bogut
2007: Greg Oden
2012: The Brow (usually plays PF, but also plays C)
2015: KAT

Certainly, most of them worked out well. Kandi and Oden are the only complete flops.
So you're telling me that Bogut is the only center drafted #1 to win a ring since Duncan in 1997?
IINM, LeBron and Kyrie are the only other #1 picks at any position to win a ring in that time frame.
2-1 odds Doncic is better!

Nah, I know that's not point.
LeBron and Kyrie had to team up to win a title. Bogut did it by himself.
Yep, those GSW totally flopped the next year when Bogut was injured.

This is clear evidence we should trade out of the number one pick. You can't win a title with them unless you have two.

We did have Anthony Bennett in camp last year

I don't think he was even able to stick with the NAZ Suns.

Interesting read about the effect that Kokoskov will have (or wont have) on Bender:

Sure, it isn't guaranteed that Coachoskov will help Bender's game. But I have to believe that Bender will be likely to do better in a more organized offensive system with a real coach who values him. He's also another year older, wiser, more understanding of the league. I see no reason why Bender wouldn't make some nice improvements next season.

Dragan has already improved a lot, and he's going to keep improving. I'm really not worried about him at all.

The thing I'd worry about is lack of killer instinct. I'd like to see his aggressiveness improve.

I think as he gains strength(not bulk) and quickness, his confidence will grow. As his confidence grows you will see him come out of his shell more.

I agree. And he did play much more aggressively last season than he did as a rookie. He still needs to improve, but I'm not worried that he wont improve.

I don't understand the folks who have already given up on Bender. He shows signs of clear improvement every year. He has exactly the skillset you'd want in a 4/5 man in 2018-19's NBA: size, defense, outside shooting, unselfishness, doesn't demand or hog the ball. And I bet he'll stay a Suns lifer if we treat him right. What's not to like? Sure he doesn't average 20 ppg, but we don't need that from him. And the dude is still just 20 years old. What more do you want?

Congratulations to Josh Jackson for sneaking into 2nd team all rookie. I didn't know if he was going to make it.

Not bad after not making the 1st and 2nd year team at the all-star break.
