Site issues/upgrades - Now with a longer title as asked for by Cap for debugging purposes

Hi gang, FYI, I did a site upgrade to a new version of our PHPBB software that runs the board. It mostly succeeded, but I still have to fix a few issues with the site's appearance/"theme". If you see weird menus popping out or other glitchy appearance, we're working on it.

One reason for the upgrade was because I wanted to re-enable user self-activation, which makes it easier for new users to sign up for the site without needing mod/admin approval. If you have any friends who want to create accounts here, please tell them to give it a try; it should be easier for them to make accounts now.

We may have to watch out for spam-bots that may try to register themselves. The mods will need to delete any spammy posts about Cialis or whatever crap if any of those users get through.

Are there any other upgrades folks want for the site? I think somebody said they wanted a new version of the Tapatalk plugin; I can look in to that.

This is a test of me posting through Tapatalk on Android. It seems to work now?

Hi Marty--Since you asked for suggestions, I would love it if you turned on the option to have links open in a new tab/window. We used to have it (not sure if it was this incarnation or not).

The images for certain links changed for me, but the site still works fine. What is broken for you?

Pop up menus floating over everything making it impossible to tap certain links. iPad, Safari.

BTW, one of the untappable links is this thread, whose title is short enough to be completely covered by a popup menu. Until the situation is fixed, how about changing the thread title to something much longer?

I am having a ton of problems right now.

I would like to go to have a quick link to go back to Suns/NBA section at the bottom of the forum. And ability to +1 certain posts, other than posting that I agree each time.

Usable, though the situation is still really annoying. And yet I keep hanging around here nonetheless. I hope you get it fixed soon.

I'm not working on it. This is Marty's thing. This is the first I've known about it. Just doing what I can do based on your request. The weird thing is I'm on Chrome too and I'm only seeing a little bit of weirdness.

So, Indy, you're happy that In2 is having a ton of problems? Tsk, tsk, tsk.
