Nobody speculates, everyone seems to talk in definitives. Like they know exactly what a player will be, how the team will react, etc.
People like to use their 20/20 hindsight to reinforce the idea that they can judge basketball talent as well as the professionals do.

They will tell you "yes, I wanted to draft this guy" or "I wanted to trade for this guy before he was a star" but they don't mention the other dozen s*** draft choices they would have made or countless unrealistic or bad trades they wholeheartedly endorsed.
BRAVOOOOOOOO!!!!

Can we stick this Quote somewhere visible as a disclaimer to now a then refresh people’s minds?

Some of us also have no problem saying we were wrong for backing certain players (Trey Burke oops lol).
Jones and Vogel gotta go.

I'm wrong often...mostly for falling for long, skilled, athletes who under achieved in college. (Anthony Randolph, Perry Jones, Chris Walker)

I'd be fine with him there. I don't have strong feelings about him either way. I think he's a better prospect than Reed, but I wouldn't have many expectations.

In my opinion, I don't like how definitively you stated that.

I was a huge Anthony Randolph guy. I really like Perry Jones III after his freshman year, but then he plateaued and I cooled on him considerably.

I really liked Anthony Bennett. I probably wouldn't have taken him #1, but definitely in the Top 5.

Don't worry - Suns fans (including myself) have been guessing wrong on athletic forwards going back to Tim Perry (I was guilty on that one) and even well before that (Stretch Howard).

I thought getting Kyle Macy was going to be a brilliant move (not quite). And I didn't think Larry Nance would amount to much. But I wasn't one of the ones booing Dan Majerle because they were disappointed on missing out on Jeff Grayer and Derrick Chievous!

Have you seen this? Colson performs very well according to Nylon Calculus. He reminds me a lot of PJ Tucker offensively.

Still think its Ayton and Holiday next week, unless they move up for Shai given their Kentucky guard tendencies. Is Ayton/Holiday perfect? Probably not, but we'd end up an all-star caliber C and a solid to good starting PG.
Jones and Vogel gotta go.

I think that Holiday would be a mistake at 16, but I'm all for trading out of 16 for a higher pick or young vet star in a package.

I'd be ok with Holiday but I think there will be a better player on the board. If you assume Ayton, Doncic, Bagley, JJJ, Bamba, Porter, Carter, Trae, Knox, and Bridges are the first 10 picks, or at least gone before we pick, at the very least, one of Zhaire, Bridges(Miles), Shai, Lonnie, Sexton, or Robert Williams will be available. I wouldn't want to draft Williams after taking Ayton, but I'd gladly take Shai, Bridges, Zhaire, or Lonnie. Sexton would be intriguing as well.

Drafting a SG at 16 would be such a waste of a pick. We have so many needs, a backup SG is the least of our worries right now. I would trade up or stand pat for a PG or trade the pick altogether before I drafted a backup SG.
