Interesting list. Does anyone like Josh Okogie at #31?
YES! I love that list. I like that they're bringing in Colson.
Agreed
I like cash considerations or veteran leadership at 31

Drafting a SG at 16 would be such a waste of a pick. We have so many needs, a backup SG is the least of our worries right now. I would trade up or stand pat for a PG or trade the pick altogether before I drafted a backup SG.
I think you're too concerned about position. Sure it'd be great if the guy we pick at 16 is a PG, but if there isn't one available, you can't reach for one. You said yourself that we have tons of needs...we need good basketball players, so what if their "traditional" position is SG, just pick the best basketball player. Zhaire and Lonnie are both versatile and should be able to play multiple positions anyways.

We need skills more than position. So if a guy is a lights out shooter at the 2 or 3, take him. We'll find the minutes.

We have players that warrant significant minutes at the 2 and 3. Booker is going to play 35+ and TJ and Josh both are going to get 30-35+. It’s nice to say we’ll find minutes, but in reality there are no minutes. You’re not going to play Josh or TJ at the 4 with much success, it did not work at all last year.

IMO, TJ isn't a longterm player here.

I don’t think the suns share that view but I agree

I think you'll see Jackson and Warren both play minutes at the 4 and you'll probably see more point Booker lineups which creates minutes for Zhaire and Lonnie who will probably defend 1-3.

Yeah, that has zero chance of happening given this team's needs.
Go Suns!

What are the odds you guys think that both JJ and TJ are on the team at the start of the season?

This is why you take Doncic. He opens up so much lineup flexibility

Doesn't cover nearly as much ground as it used to.

This is why I wanted him to begin with. The amount of versatility we could've sent out there would've been fun.

What exactly has zero chance of happening? Jackson and Warren getting minutes at the 4? Us drafting Zhaire or Lonnie?

I remember Jackson playing a little 4 for the Suns last year and doing surprisingly well for short stints. I can't remember who they were playing against, but IIRC it was a good pf and he made it very difficult for them while playing defense. In fact, he won the matchup over and over.

Khyri Thomas is the best player for the Suns to take at #16. He’s a 2 time Big East Defensive Player of the Year and an elite 3pt shooter.

Has the quickness to defend smaller guards and size and strength to defend bigger guards as well.

It’s a no brainer to put him next to Booker in the backcourt when Booker and Jackson will be doing most of the playmaking anyway.

They put him on AD after Davis fouled out all our big men...I don't know that Jackson won the matchup, but he did significantly better than Chriss and Bender.

Love Khyri... Booker and Jackson would need to develop more as playmakers and ideally Khyri would as well.

Maybe that was it. It was a big task for Jackson as AD was killing the Suns and did whatever he wanted to do, yet he seemed to slow AD's rampage down quite a bit. Yeah, maybe it's my recollection of the event that is over hyping his defense, but it was SIGNIFICANTLY better than whoever else was guarding him prior.
