Trae Young is currently shooting below 20% in Summer League. :?
Over a 2 game sample size. Josh Jackson sucked for WAY longer than that during the regular season. On the flip side, Ill forever remember being impressed with Archie Goodwin's first summer league.

Im not saying he will or will not be good--just that its hard to make much of summer league other than just enjoying watching basketball again.

I don't think we can really compare him to JJ. I've watched a good amount of Young so far and he's not looking good for the #4 pick. He's getting roasted on defense and he's shooting terribly. He does seem to be passing the ball fairly well.

I've maybe overlooked the biggest predictor of NBA point guard success--if McD was interested in him, you can feel pretty confident that guard is going to disappoint.

DJJ with 21 points, 5 rebounds 3 steals and 4 blocks today. He was 1/4 from 3 and 4/9 from the line though.

He is just like Archie Goodwin. Everyone got excited every year when he dominated summer league just by his athleticism, and then couldn’t do jack against NBA squads.

Oh I wsa just kidding--I really hope Okobo does well. I know next to nothing about him as a prospect, outside of others here being excited about him.

Summer league rules state that each team can only bring -

- up to four “veterans” from their current roster who played the whole prior year in the NBA and are under contract for next year (Jackson, Bender)
- plus any guys who’d spent time in the G-League (Harrison, Peters, Reed)
- plus any guys who’d been injured at least 25 games the prior year and any rookies
- plus any rookies (Ayton, Bridges, Okobo, King)
- plus any free agents not under contract at the time of Summer League (Cooley, Green, Hollis-Jefferson, Naar, Odiase)

So Chriss could have qualified since they could take up to four veterans.

Which makes it a confusing decision. He has obviously been working out with the guys in Phoenix recently.

He still could've gone to Vegas, worked out and not played.

It was the Suns that kept Chriss out right? It wasn't Chriss' call?
Jones and Vogel gotta go.

Ayton has missed the last few practices with back soreness. He worked out today and is expecting to play in the games per Bordow.....let the injury worries begin

Unless you broaden it a bit to include Dwight Howard (6'11"), Kevin Garnett (6'11"), Kevin Durant (listed at 6'9" but actually taller), Karl-Anthony Towns (20 years old), Anthony Davis (6'10"), Andre Drummond (6'11"), DeMarcus Cousins 6'11", 20), etc.
