I am excited to think about all of the potential 3 point shooters on the team. How much would having that shooting open up the lane for Booker, Jackson, and point guard (Knight)

9 pages for a summer league game?? NICE! 8-)
When was the last time the Suns were up on a team by 21 points in the 4th quarter?
The last time we played the Mavs. Also happens to be the last time we played.

Well 10 points and 8 boards on 66% shooting in 22 minutes is pretty good start for the number of touches he got. I know they are playing fast out there but I don't think he should have been as winded as he was. Hopefully they can build up that stamina soon.

We only saw a few pick and rolls where he got the ball and basically no post ups. I really want to see how he handles contact in the post.
It was pretty insane that they were doubling him from the get go.

He got lost on defense some but he challenged shots really well. Not a bad opening night for the young guy.

I get that he is the #1 pick, but you have to interview Bridges and/or Reed after that game. ESPN being ESPN.

If Ayton gets really comfortable making the pass back out, our shooters should feast off double teams. I’m kind of surprised that Dallas put so much effort into containing him.

That Bender block was something else.

He wanted that really bad and I can't blame him. That dude was jawing at him constantly.

To many turnover (18 in a 40-minute game), but considering that this was their first game together it was a good win.

Reed, Bridges, Okobo, and the 3rd quarter Jackson looked good in particular. Ayton got his feet wet, Bender played more inside the arc, and most importantly, nobody got hurt.

Awesome seeing the new guys!

Ayton looked good. He’s got a pro body already. We always say to the rookies that they need to fill out. Ayton will fill out too and it will be scary.

Reed 18 points. He was “On fire!”

I hate that Jackson cut his hair. Now it’s harder to keep track of him on the court.

I know it is ridiculous to read too much into 1 summer league game...but Okobo was soo much better than I was expecting--he only had 9 points, but had 4 rebounds and 6 assists in 21 minutes.

It feels so good to win, especially after last seaon's extremely disappointing summer.

Ayton looked good out there. I'm not overly concerned about his lack of touches. We knew we would need to run plays for him, and you don't get as much of that in summer league.

Harrison / Okobo / Bridges all looked too good for Summer league. Not just the shots going in but the awareness of the game and the ability to play at another level physically.

I don't think Reed is in that group physically, but he knows how to play. We'll see if that carries over to the NBA.

Bender and Jackson both looked very good - in stretches. At other times they looked like guys in NBA bodies without NBA minds - for opposite reasons. I expect this to be the worst summer league game for each of them.

Alec Peters doesn't have an nba body. He just doesn't have the speed or the size or the balance to stick.

King outplayed Antetokounmpo, so TAKE THAT.

That settles it--time to cut bait and get rid of Bridges.

Yep, back to the Sweet D impression. Speaking of which, we have added some great shooting. Bridges was wet from three!

Ayton caught the ball under the basket and tried to pass out for a 3. Jesus. Back your man with one dribble and dunk the damn ball.
That bothered me too. Hopefully he'll figure out that he's bigger than everybody else in time.
