It's clear that we need a decent playmaking PG. Knight won't solve our issues once season starts. Isn't Marcus Smart still available? Maybe we can somehow clear some cap space and bring him in on a 2 or 3 year deal?

He's an elite level defender too even though he can't shoot. At least he will be able to get Ayton the damn ball.

Can we still pull that Jackson for Kyrie trade?

Smart is not anymore of a playmaker than Knight.

Really? Better a/t ratio per 36?

Worse shooter in all aspects. Smart does nothing for this team now that we've added Bridges/Ariza. Rather pay Harrison pocket change to play defense and not be a good PG or make a jump shot.

Ya know who'd help Ayton get easy looks? SDC's guy Teodosic, should he come available, I wouldn't mind him as the back-up to Knight and vet tutor for Okobo.

Booker 0-5
Jackson 3-12
Harrison 3-11
Okobo 0-5

Total 6-33 FG

And yet the Suns still managed to out-shoot the Kings!

Good fit. They could also bond on the bench when they are gassed after 15 minutes

Our summer league team is really solid defensively.

Harrison is elite and Okobo has been good defending the ball.
Bridges, Reed, and Jackson are all great defenders on the wing.
Bender is ok and Ayton has been good too.

Devin should stop shooting from the crowd, that would help

Booker must have took his 5 shot attempts when I went on my bathroom break.

It's funny how so many people on RealGM were insistent on not including Josh Jackson in any Kawhi deals even if Kawhi agreed to re-sign with the Suns

If he were willing to re-sign here, sure I would pull the trigger, but he's given every indication that he only has eyes for LA, so it's a moot point.

Last year Chriss thought the competition in summer league was beneath him and he got owned. So this year the front office agrees and lets him sit it out despite him not proving anything yet?
They don't want to ruin his confidence.

So I'm starting to realize why no one threw the ball in to Ayton on the post last game. They aren't capable of actually making a pass into the post without a turnover.

Ah just as I type this they manage to get it in to him. Easy dunk.

Suns screwed up big time by Josh Jackson not meet with Danny Ainge. They should've done that and then Boston takes him and we could have got a high IQ basketball player in Tatum...
I'm guessing Ainge still takes Tatum.

Sigh.. I really wanna root for Bender, I really do, but c'mon kid.
It was really rough. He could almost do nothing right. How many years before he learns to not travel before putting the ball down?

Suns shooting 33%, Kings shooting 25%
The encouraging thing is that the Suns played really good defense for the entire game. Even though they couldn't score in the first half, they hung in there and had another 3rd quarter run like yesterday. The defense kept them in it in the meantime.
