You know you’ve suffered too long as a fan when summer league becomes must-see TV. I’m there unfortunately. I hope we continue to see lots of Ayton, Bridges, and Okobo, less of Jackson.

It'll be interesting to see how well Ayton is able to score against Orlando's tall defensive bigs. Wouldn't be surprised if he gets them in foul trouble. I hope our guards get him the ball.

If Ayton doesn't seal his man in the post, Orlando's length is gonna be a nightmare, he'll never get the ball. :D

Right now he needs stamina, not psyching out when he doesn't get the ball and keep trying to use his very considerable length. I'd look for my PGs to mix the kind of entry passes and try to land some floaters. I bet if Ayton can catch in movement his potential damage increases greatly. Very curious about the synergy with the guards not named Booker. We still don't have a lot of good perimeter passing.

LAS VEGAS – There are no official records to back up Mohamed Bamba’s prideful claim that he is undefeated against Deandre Ayton in past AAU showdowns, but the Orlando Magic rookie center knows the score and playfully boasts he is 4-0 in those matchups.

With the two 7-footers just hours away tonight from their first meeting as professionals – Bamba with the Magic and Ayton with the Phoenix Suns – Orlando’s big man made another confident claim.

``It’s about to be five,’’ he said with a wry smile.

We may have "lob city" if the guards keep throwing it up to Ayton. He really gets off the floor effortlessly and has great timing and feel for ally oops. Harrison looks decent in PnR. Bamba with a beautiful turnaround over Jackson - shades of Hakeem.

We need to keep Ayton’s ass on the bench because Cooley is just too fun.

JJ is so bad.

Ayton with a pretty jumper. Very active on D, too.
