Weird... Not sure the point of that. We trying to create more space to sign someone?

Maybe just not wanting to cut Reed or Harrison. This frees up a roster spot. Maybe Alan Williams or Tyler Ulis coming back

I actually like that move. When I saw Arthur was traded I thought that should've been the kind of guy we targeted.

So we're giving up a 2nd round draft pick to save a little money?

Dudley certainly wasn't needed here and his "commitment" to conditioning was extremely disappointing.

Yep... Bordow says we've been working on a buyout with Dudley for a couple weeks. I think we've got 3-4 million in space now and a roster spot... Be interesting what we do. Vet PG seems most likely.

So now Chandler (35) and Ariza (32) are the only players on the roster over 27.

Ugh, I thought Arthur could've helped. But I guess we have our PF in Ariza smh.

PF - Ariza, Bender, Peters
SF - Jackson, Warren, King (2-way)
C- Ayton, Chriss, Chandler
SG - Booker, Bridges, Daniels, Reed
PG - Knight, Okobo, Harrison

Peters getting another 2-way contract would seem to be a possibility, although not a necessity with only 15 players (plus King) likely on the roster.

I can see signing a veteran point guard to a 1-year deal to share time with Knight, and re-signing Alan Williams as insurance at the end of the bench if he willing to return at a reduced salary.

So 3.2 million in space. Does a buyout change our cap hit? If we buy him out for 6 million, do we get an additional 1.4 million in space? If we buy him out for the full contract and he signs a vet minimum deal, does the 2.4 million he makes with his new team come off our books? We could possibly be looking at 5-6 million in space. Not sure there is any free agents left worth pursuing, but add Troy Daniels to a deal and we could take back 8ish million in space!

Arthur is decent, just don't have minutes to give him. We're already in a log jam

They could also get about $8 million under the cap if they waive and stretch him.

Then the idea of trading Daniels' expiring contract ($3.2 million) for somebody making up to $11 million is a possibility.

I like Dudley a lot and will miss him as part of the team. I hope we bring him back to work on the coaching staff/front office when he retires but I'm sure he'll be in line for a media job. The basketball reasons for the trade are obvious so nothing to add from me.

We said we'd much rather have Reed/Harrison on the roster, we got it. Glad Reed is getting guaranteed.

Please explain. I've never heard of him. Why do we need another forward? What does he bring that we don't already have?
