I like Melton. Anderson has on court value but an awful contract. This may cost us about $4-6M in cap room next offseason, but is pretty neutral if we had picked up Chriss' contract.

Our PG situation is pretty weak right now. There's probably another move coming.

It's also probably worse for Bender than if we had just kept Chriss.

This trade makes tons of sense for Houston and zero for Phoenix.

How does McDonough have a job?
Huh? What exactly does Knight and Chriss do for them?

Well we had the Lakers pick and the number 7 pick in a draft and somehow we end up with Ryan Anderson.

Gotta think another move is coming unless we're all in on point Booker.

Knights gonna come off the bench and play great for them.

Anderson is well past his prime. This trade makes zero sense for Suns.

I'm not even sure how to respond to this... The Lakers pick, the #8 pick (not 7) and Ryan Anderson have nothing to do with this trade. We did this for Melton

If they loved Melton, they could have drafted him.

I wonder about that. He had a down season, but he’s not old. He’s 30.

I wouldn't be surprised at all to see another trade happen.

True, but we couldn't have drafted Okobo as well.

Much like Chriss/Bender, it’s probably not ideal from a development standpoint to have both.

Maybe, I see Melton more like Marcus Smart. He's a defensive prospect that can handle the ball a bit. I think Okobo has more of a chance to be an actual PG

FWIW, a lot of draft nerds LOVED Melton

I'm just happy to see Chriss gone. He must've not been in the teams plans all along.

I love Shaq and advocated him starting before this trade.
