Didn't see any interviews with Mikal or TJ. Saw pics, so I know they were there, would like to have heard a few things from them.
I heard Bridges was sick. Not sure why TJ wasn't there.

I guess Bridges and Melton were on the locked on Suns podcast. I'll listen later and give a report

  • Ripping the bandaid off quickly now: What’s the worst thing that could happen, the most unpredictably BAD thing that could happen to the Suns out of the gate this season?
Injury to Booker or Ayton. The second worst thing is something bad could happen to Warren, like an injury or him demanding a trade.

  • Let’s flip that coin. What’s the most unpredictably, or unexpected anyway, GOOD thing that could happen, where we can’t help but smile at our good fortune?
Okobo or Melton is ready to be a starter in the NBA.

  • Last year, Alex Len was arguably one of the three or four best players on the Suns roster last fall, behind Devin Booker and T.J. Warren. Who will be the Suns best 4 players as of Christmas this year?
$1,000,000 question that I posed in another conversation. I'm not convinced Warren is our second best player. I think Booker, Ayton, Jackson, and Ariza are our top 4 heading into the season.

  • Among Trevor Ariza, Ryan Anderson and Tyson Chandler, who each have 10+ years experience, who will be the Suns most impactful veteran this year?
Ariza and it's not even close. Chandler and Anderson are going to get minimal playing time. Anderson may possibly start in November, but he won't get much playing time if any by the end of the season.

  • How much does Booker’s injury set the Suns back?
Not much. I think he comes back fairly quickly. There's some adjustment because he will miss training camp with the guys.

  • Do the Suns acquire a starting point guard by opening day? If not, who starts and how long does he stay the starter?
"yes" They will make a move for a guy they will say is a starter. I dunno if I'll think he's a starter.

Mostly an interview with Bridges. Nothing major. Said he's ready for any role. Says he and Josh have been working a lot with Ariza. Always in the same shooting group.

Brightside preseason predictions:

Might be fun for us to answer their questions as well:
  • Ripping the bandaid off quickly now: What’s the worst thing that could happen, the most unpredictably BAD thing that could happen to the Suns out of the gate this season?
Seems obvious that this is if Booker or Ayton suffered a serious leg-related injury. Knock on wood.

My Kokoskov notes:

PG situation. Want to turn weakness into a strength. Maybe play more guys less minutes.
Dragan had a good summer. Was here most of the summer. He's a PF only. Needs to mature fast.
I'm reading between the lines a bit here, but these quotes seem consistent with his earlier statement that he wouldn't play point-Booker. He's not very open to playing guys out of position.

I'm very happy to hear him say that Bender is strictly a PF. I completely agree. I would still play Bender at center for spot minutes, though.

I would normally watch media day live, but this time I'm traveling for work all week and wont have a free minute to spare.
Bummer! We'll fill you in best we can once you do get a free minute.
You really came through!

Shoot, even these tidbits made me get a little optimistic about Anderson and Ariza being on the team.

I really hope we stick with TJ. I'd like to give him the opportunity to improve as a Sun.
