Seed the teams and include some awards if you want.

West
1. Golden State Warriors
2. Houston Rockets
3. Los Angeles Lakers
4. Denver Nuggets
5. Utah Jazz
6. Oklahoma City Thunder
7. New Orleans Pelicans
8. Portland Trailblazers
9. San Antonio Spurs
10. Phoenix Suns
11. Dallas Mavericks
12. Los Angeles Clippers
13. Minnesota Timberwolves
14. Memphis Grizzlies
15. Sacramento Kings

I'm assuming Butler gets traded. I may have to move up whoever lands Butler. I think the nuggets are primed for a big year. I loved them last year too though. I think 2-8 could be really close again. Rockets/Lakers/Nuggets feel like the most likely to separate from the 5-8 seeds. I probably underrated the Jazz. Spurs finally fall off. Suns snag some PG and win 38 games and land the 10th seed. Minnesota is a mess, Memphis has injuries and blows it up at the deadline to tank.

East
1. Toronto Raptors
2. Boston Celtics
3. Milwaukee Bucks
4. Philadelphia 76ers
5. Indiana Pacers
6. Miami Heat
7. Washington Wizards
8. Detroit Pistons
9. Orlando Magic
10. Charlotte Hornets
11. Brooklyn Nets
12. Chicago Bulls
13. Cleveland Cavs
14. New York Knicks
15. Atlanta Hawks

Solid top 5. Toronto takes the 1 seed again, Boston still my favorite to win the Eastern finals. Giannis + Bud bumps the bucks up a tier. Indy and Philly the only other good teams. Miami and Washington average teams. Detroit makes playoffs by default. Everyone else sucks.

MVP - Giannis
DPOY - AD
ROY - Ayton
6th Man - No clue, I'll just say Kuzma
MIP - Also no clue, I'll say Jamal Murray
COY - Budenholzer or Mike Malone

Warriors over Celtics for the title.

If Lebron leads the Lakers to a 3 seed in the West, and Giannis leads the Bucks to a 3 seed in the east, not way Giannis gets the nod on MVP over Lebron. Just my 2 cents.

You may be right. LeBron does seem like an easy MVP pick. He'll put up his usual elite numbers and if he makes the Lakers a contender, it's probably his. I just think we might see Giannis throw down an epic stat line we can't ignore. 30/12/6 with 2 blocks and 2 steals is within reach.

No way. I call BS on that call.

We may not be tanking, but I think a top 8 pick is likely.

Now, that could be true, but I can't believe that we would tank this year. I certainly hope it's higher though.

We're not tanking. Let's get that straight right now. We may not win a lot of games but we're trying to win every one of them.

Agreed. But with every other team in the West focusing on winning as well, I think that the transition from tanking to not tanking is going to be worth fewer wins than it typically would be.

37 wins. Ayton averages a double/double, Booker makes the ASG. The end.

You want me to make predictions for the entire season when I have no idea what we're going to look like on Wednesday night?! I really have no idea of what to expect when we open our season against the Mavs at home next week. We haven't seen Booker play with the team and Kokoskov has been playing the entire roster. Can't wait to see though. I just hope Ayton outplays Doncic otherwise the board will melt down.

My excitement for the season, even though it is tempered by a huge dose of caution, got the best of me. Bought some lower bowl tickets for Wednesday's opener!!

I predict the suns win 45+ games and trade by December for either Kemba Walker for a top 3 protected pick and salary dump or Beverly for a lottery protected first rounder. Ayton wins ROY btw.
I believe Sarver wants to pull the trigger on a trade and is going to hang out a first rounder. My guess is McD didn’t want to lose his draft picks.

Before preseason, I would have made a prediction of 35 wins. Now, I seriously don't know if we win 40 or 20. The team I saw in preseason is a 20 win team.

Either Booker is enough to ignite us, or he is either injured or plays too selfishly to impact our win total.
Either the guys start to understand and play within the offense, or it turns out that Igor doesn't coach an effective nba game plan.
Either Bender / Jackson / Bridges start being effective on defense, or our culture of poor play leads to just going through the motions.

I've got to say tht my belief in Igor is shaken after the preseason.

He's had only a handful of games, all of them without his best player, with a ton of new pieces on the roster, and his GM just got fired. I think it's understandable that they'd look pretty bumpy in preseason. But I do agree that they don't look very good so far.

Our roster outside of Booker & Ayton is hot garbage. I'm not going to indict Coach Koko on that.

What do we think it would take to get Dinwiddie from Brooklyn? Would they need more than the Mil 1st? How about Shaq and the Mil 1st for Dinwiddie. Cut Arthur and Daniels.

PG Dinwiddie, Canaan, Okobo
SG Booker, Bridges, Melton
SF Ariza, Jackson, Reed
PF Anderson, Warren, Bender
C Ayton, Chandler, Holmes

That team can win 35 games. I'd rotate Okobo, Melton, and Reed through the G league to get them playing time. Bender too if we're still allowed to send him down. I'd actually just try and trade Bender for anything. I have no interest in picking up his option, so we might as well move on now.
