I feel bad for Harrison. He worked hard to get here. If only he could shoot or pass...
We could still bring him back on a 2-way contract if he clears waivers, right?
There's two spots and King has one. I'm wondering if they're saving the other one for Melton or Okobo.

Assuming it's Reed

PG. Canaan, Okobo, Melton
SG. Booker, Crawford, Daniels
SF. Ariza, Jackson, Bridges
PF. Anderson, Warren, Bender
C. Ayton, Chandler, Holmes
I wouldn't be surprised if Crawford starts at PG.
I think he'll play PG for us, but I think he's a bad fit next to Booker. His use is that now Jackson doesn't have to create everything on the 2nd unit.

if we really signed Crawford to take backup SG minutes from Bridges and Jackson, that'll be a fitting end to the Summer of McD.

Jackson and Bridges are really SFs. The problem is so are TJ and Ariza.

Okobo and Melton already signed guaranteed contracts. It'll be Harrison if he clears waivers

I can't believe we're going into this season with the pu pu platter of PGs on the roster right now. Pretty big failure by management, IMO.

I'm ok with Crawford getting his minutes as the backup 1 until Okobo is ready.

PG - Canaan 20, Crawford 18, Booker 10
SG - Booker 26, Bridges 18, Jackson 4
SF - Ariza 24, Jackson 24
PF - Anderson 20, Warren 24, Ariza 4
C - Ayton 32, Holmes/Chandler - 16

Booker - 36
Ayton - 32
Jackson - 28
Ariza - 28
Warren - 24
Anderson - 20
Canaan - 20
Bridges - 18
Crawford - 18
Holmes/Chandler - 16

Seems fair to me. Would love to see Okobo/Melton take minutes away from Crawford

Pretty sure that's why McD was let go. It pains me to say it but we'd look a lot better right now had we picked Fox instead of Jackson a year ago.

Knight was injured and Ulis was Ulis. Fox was most definitely an option.

Fox was my guy and there were already rumblings Bledsoe was on the block to Milwaukee. He was pissed about sitting the end of the year. We could've taken Fox easily and had our backcourt set for the next 10 years.

Assuming fox turns into a good player. He is the same question mark that Jackson is. Granted, he plays a position of need now for us, but let's not pretend like Fox is a surefire star.

Even if Fox is a poor man's John Wall, we'd be set in the backcourt.

Definitely the balance of the roster would look much better with Fox

I generally refuse to play the game of "if we had only drafted X instead of Y." So I don't have too much to say about Fox & Tatum that I didn't say on draft night. There's one exception though, and that's not selecting Kawhi Leonard when we had the chance. I will never forget their incompetence. Everyone knew he was going to be at the very least great. To pass on him because he refused to come workout for us was so myopic... I still can't believe it and it's been 7 years now.

Can we just go back to the days of Shaq and Duncan when rookies averaged 38 or 39 minutes per game? :P

I thought it was because he sweat through his suit when he interviewed with Blanks.

I’d like to go back to the days when great players stayed in college for more than a year, and forward to the days when they are fairly compensated for it.
