Embiid getting clowned now. Tatum crosses him and hits the shot(another lucky bank) then horford shuts Embiid down in the post, swatting the ball off Embiid.

The Celtics put a whoopin' on the Sixers. I am not a fan of either team but I do like seeing Embiid get plowed.

Man, they dropped the rings from the literal rafters & it still isn't interesting to watch this ring ceremony.
Go Suns!

I saw about 25% of that game and even that small amount was entertaining. That matchup is looking like a great rivalry renewed for a good number of years into the future.

Simmons looks fantastic! The rest of Philly is meh. Tatum looks like the best player for Boston right now.
So much for Simmons improved shooting though.

Well, in Embiid's defense, he did say he was going to get his ass kicked. Oh, wait. He was talking about Ayton.

Can we please have Embiid rolling around on the floor like that after a block by Ayton? (Glad he didn't get injured though!)

I can't wait until November 19th!

Schroeder looked pretty darn good for OKC. Good pickup for them while Westbrook and Roberson heal.

I only got to see about half of each game, but none of the 4 teams had more than one or two guys really ready to play NBA basketball. The first month of the season is going to be silly.

Tatum continues to look like the Celtics best player.
Simmons continues to make amazing plays and put up great stats, and I still don't care.
Kyrie and Hayward looked like 2 guys coming back from injury and feeling tier way into the game. Hayward shot like Bender, and Kyrie attacked the basket like Bender in the 18 or so minutes I saw.
Embiid has a big personality and he's amazingly coordinated. He's not so fundamentally sound, though. It was extra fun watching him get punked. Guys were looking back at him after scoring on him like "oh, you're a defender? I didn't notice."

Steph came out ready to play. You can hate the Warriors all you want, especially if you hate watching people who love to compete and win.
Draymond looked about 10 lbs too heavy and a step slow. That team with a healthy Boogie could be scary. They would have a real shot to win the west.
I still can't stand OKC, but Paul George and Dennis Schroeder are going to be just fine playing with Westbrook.

this was my biggest takeaway from last night also, was a fair amount of awful play going on  and a quick peep at the box scores shows lots of bricks and turnovers. I'm hoping it's more like only couple weeks instead of a month fore the players sharpen up tho

If Randle is hitting 3's, he's a great fit with AD

Glancing at box scores:

Memphis - yikes, I think they'll blow that team up eventually. Down 30 to Indy.

Milwaukee went up big early. Looks like Kemba has brought Charlotte back. Kemba with 40, Giannis with 20/18/8

Pelicans look real nice. Been watching that game. AD has 18/8/6/3/1 at the half. Randle with 17 off the bench and hit a couple 3's. Mirotic and Elfrid Payton have looked good too. Up 71-54
