For those who enjoy software bugs: check out the Suns Position Estimates at bkref. There's a goose on the loose in that algorithm.
The Ayton-Holmes backcourt will take us far.

Ayton’s ast/36 of 4.8 is actually third on the team, behind Booker and Crawford.
And he has assisted on 22% of all FGs from other guys while he is on the floor. Only Booker is higher for guys that actually played (Crawford is up there too, but only in 19 minutes of play).
Ayton is legit. We have a big 2 to build on. It remains to be seen if anybody can beat Warren for the last spot in the Big 3.
If TJ keeps his outstanding play up, we have our 3. Our support staff around them is absolutely terrible.
I know we have only seen 31 minutes of Mikal, but so far he looks really good. If he keeps this up, he is anything but "absolutely terrible."

I can't make myself think that sauce was speaking about Bridges being terrible. I was a little worried about him when he didn't look all that good in preseason and was meh for most of the summer league. He looked great in the Denver game and did some really nice things in the GSW game. I know there is going to be ups and downs for him, but I'm really been pleased with him. I hope he gets more minutes, or I should say that I hope he plays well enough to earn and keep more minutes.

Bridges is extremely fast twitch. I love his intensity as well. 100% starter.

I wouldn't mind if Ariza got the flu or something and had to miss a couple games. Bridges getting a couple games with 25-30 minutes would be nice

BTW, Warren, Booker, Ayton, Bridges are the only two Suns with a positive offensive box +/-.

The pair Booker-Anderson is a true problem on defense. Both negative defense box.

Could Booker's early season defensive problems stem a little bit from the hand injury? I mean I can't remember it being this bad last year.

We'll see with more time. Although the NBA is going nuts with the scoring. The change in defensive rules seems to be making an impact akin to what happened right before the Nash led Suns. No hands is nice but some drivers have too easy if they are allowed to lead the way extending the other arm.

Maybe I'm not paying enough attention but Booker's defense seems about the same to me. His on ball defense is meh when he's engaged, but not terrible. He falls asleep off the ball too much still.

Now if we can convince the refs that Warren, Booker, Ayton and Bridges are “only two Suns” and they let us put them out there with three more, we’ll be in good shape.

Sorry, I am a believer in Bridges. He wasn’t meant to be included in the blanket terrible statement. I meant the staff around him actually getting minutes right now. I also wouldn’t include Okobo.

Imo the liabilities at the moment are Anderson, Chandler and Jackson. Canaan is playing too much as well.

We are invested in Jackson so he'll keep getting playing time even if he hurts us more often than not, but the others should be phased out as soon as possible. I really want to know the opinion of the new GM on Josh.

I think Jackson is a guy who needs minutes to be impactful, whereas TJ might need less minutes to be more effective and efficient. Some guys just play better in a limited role. I'd hate for us to play Jackson 12-18 minutes a night where all of his flaws are exposed. If we wanted to trade him, we could at least chalk it up to a new GM/coach and call it a bad fit. I think that ship has sailed on Bender tho. Not advocating trading Jackson, but there is a rationale there.

I like Bridges so much that with him and Warren clearly being superior to Jackson in one way or another, I don’t see a future here for Josh. I’d aggressively shop him at the deadline for a First/second-tier PG or PF.

I wouldn’t mind trading him and Ryan Anderson for Kevin Love and George Hill.

It's waaaaaaaay too early to give up on Jackson. Butler wasn't Butler his first couple years in the league. Not saying Josh is going to get there but you never know.

I’m not giving up on him. But there’s only going to be so much time for Warren-Jackson-Bridges.

Bridges already has elite defense and 3P%
Warren is an elite scorer.

Jackson doesn’t really do anything at an elite level. I don’t see enough time for all 3. I’d rather maximize the other positions.
