Haven't looked into the draft much...don't want to admit that our season is lost, but from what I've heard, it's top heavy without much depth. Zion seems like a pretty easy #1 pick right now to me, but again, I haven't spent much time looking at prospects.
RJ Barrett is a bad MFer. I wouldn’t crown Zion #1 so quickly.
Maybe. Zion just feels like one of those generational talents... I'm not sure what RJ will be. I'm sure he'll be good, maybe even great. Just think Zion could be real special.

Rj is the best prospect in the class.

When I look at Zion I can't help but see Blake Griffin, for better and worse.
He'll be a lot of fun to watch and the highlight shows will love him. But what's going to happen when his athleticism fades or he picks up a significant lower body injury?

I still think that RJ is the best prospect. He's can win a game by himself, like a bigger Wade.
That being said, Zion is just what the Dr. ordered for the Suns. He will bring energy, aggressiveness, and intimidating physicality that's infectious on the entire team. Booker and Ayton in particular and that starting team needs that to start the game. If the Suns can throw everything at pg, or even make a huge trade for someone like Lonzo, they could have the exact type of team that Booker needs, Ayton needs, Zion needs, Bridges needs & Lonzo needs to enhance each other's skills. Heck Lonzo would bring out the best in Jackson too and Zion would feed Jackson's fire.
Zion ends the game with 27 pts, 16 rebs, 4 asts, and 6 blks.
Yes please.
It was against Army though.
I bet he would KILL the Brisbane Bullets.
wait wait, i've got another one
He did that against MILITARY GRADE opponents?!!

I've heard RJ can't really shoot and his handle is weak. Neither have slowed him down to this point, but I worry that those catch up to him. For those who've spent some time watching him, are those legitimate concerns? Cam Reddish is more skilled and I think he could potentially play a point forward role.

None of these guys can really shoot it that well. That is a bit concerning, as for RJ's handle, it's not weak, it's just one sided, very lefty dominant.
Reddish is in a bit of an odd spot, I think he's an Evan Turner type tweener, can do some of everything, nothing exceptionally well.

Reddish can shoot. He's by far the best shooter. His great weakness is his motor. He is kind of like Ayton and just sits back and takes what the defense gives him. He feeds off the energy and attention that RJ and Zion attract.
He kind of reminds me of Joe Johnson.
All these guys are young, and they will learn and improve. Even LeBron couldn't shoot very well when he came out, nor could MJ. RJ is very aggressive and strong and just knows how to finish through contact. He really is a bigger Wade or Donovan Mitchell. When he's engaged against a team that he doesn't look down on, he can carry a team.
this tells me he's either
1) bad shot selection, or he's only shooting almost exclusively perimeter shots.
2) or, he has a harder time making contested shots.

10-21 from three point range, 5-14 from two. Don’t really see a problem there.

did i mention that he was a GREAT outside shooter? 100% at the line so far and now 44% on threes. His FG percentage has DROPPED to 40%. after three games.

rj barrett is 59% at the FT line. He may have a josh jackson problem when he turns pro.

3 games SDC, I wouldn't start drawing any conclusions off 3 games of data

what did i tell you about josh jackson last year?
I'm not questioning whether poor ft shooting is a bad sign, I'm questioning whether 3 games is an adequate sample size to determine if RJ is a bad ft shooter. I could probably find a 3 game sample where Curry or Nash shot 59% from the ft line.
