Why always bring Teodosic in the discussion? Doesn't he want to go back to Europe?
Because it was a joke.
Had a rough day, it was a good one ;)

TJ really is just a scorer. His poor rebounding has actually gotten worse this year, possibly because he’s spending more time at the 3 point line. He’s been really efficient though. .52/.44/.86 is fantastic shooting numbers.

Edit: Just looked it up and his defensive rebound rate is actually at a career high. His offensive rebound rate is about 1/3 of his usual. So he’s not crashing the glass nearly as much. Possibly because he’s further away from the hoop now. Could also be a scheme change, or a little of both.

Yes, but, on this team being "just" great at one thing puts you far ahead of most of our roster. Especially if that thing is scoring.

Honestly all I could possibly have reasonably wanted for Warren was for him to spend all of this past summer chucking a million 3s to get that shot added to his arsenal. By all accounts, that is exactly what he did during the offseason, and it shows. His 3-point shooting is much improved. And that is a -great- improvement for him and makes him a much more dangerous offensive player. It's hard to overstate how helpful it is that he did this. The fact that he isn't an awesome rebounder or defender is not ideal, but he has really worked hard to improve on a big weakness of his offensive game. Now I find almost no fault with him on offense; he could be a more willing passer, but I don't really need that from him. His D might improve over the years; who knows. I think it's getting overlooked a bit given that we are a god-awful team. But I'm extremely happy with the way he improved his game this past summer.

Agreed. I wish he would have drug Josh to the gym with him every day but I believe TJ largely worked out away from the team.

Fun fact: TJ Warren has more than doubled his 3pt makes from last year already (43 to 20) Will almost definitely hit more 3’s this year than his first 4 season combined.

Another fun fact: he’s hitting 44.8% of his attempts, up from 22.2% last season. It was recently mentioned on a broadcast that if he keeps it up, it will be the greatest year over year improvement in NBA history.

TJ deserves a ton of praise and credit for putting in the work to do this.

Yep, it's what we all wanted from him and he went out and did it in spectacular fashion.

Defense, rebounding, playmaking. He adds one of those and he’s an all star candidate. Add all 3 and he’s an all-nba guy.

Well if he's gonna start at PF, then we definitely need the rebounding.

Really cool how Ayton made a halftime adjustment.

https://theathletic.com/716723/2018/12/ ... ting-week/
“I feel great,” Booker said. “It’s the best I felt all season. I kept saying that before I came back, I wanted to be 100 percent healthy. Been playing through injuries all year and got a little contagious, so just wanted to make sure I was fully ready to go tonight.”
For Ayton, this was his first career matchup against Minnesota’s Karl-Anthony Towns. In the first half, Ayton picked up three fouls guarding Towns, which opened the door for veteran center Richaun Holmes to play big minutes. Between the two bigs, the Suns initially had no answer for Towns.

Towns poured in 21 points in the first half and appeared well on his way to a 40-point night until Kokoskov and Ayton made a few key halftime adjustments.

“First time playing him, he’s pretty quick,” Ayton said. “I could see why he’s one of the elite players in the game. He can play inside out. Big player as well. The second half, I really watched some film at half and really saw how he was scoring and what’s his bread and butter. I tried my best to cut off the baseline and the post and just do my work early when there’s plays for him, posting up and stuff like that.”

In the second half, Ayton stood his ground and performed admirably at the defensive end. Towns was limited to just seven points in the final two quarters of play.

“I think he came back ready,” Kokoskov said. “He was huge defensively covering space, covering, and his presence in the paint was huge in crunch time.
