Rivers is exactly the opposite kind of guard that we need. Useless on this roster and an unnecessary risk for this locker room. Oubre is nice but an impending RFA. I'd begin to explore ways to move Jackson for a PF or a real PG.

We got back more than Tired Ariza is worth, so in that regard we “won” the trade. But these pieces don’t fill our greatest needs: starting PG and rebounding PF. I guess our 2nd unit is stronger now and we can generate more offense without Booker.

I'd cut Rivers immediately instead of letting him set foot in our locker room. That dude is a nightmare.

I would have seen all the stories when he was at Clippers about behaving entitled , he does come across like having a messed up attitude but who knows
If he does though like others are saying that is really gonna make things worst if that is even possible

Agreed. No sense in playing him so let him go elsewhere.

I was literally just asking why we don't just make the deal with the Wizards. It's the type of deal we need. I like Rivers as a combo guard to run point and keep Booker's minutes there down for the rest of the season. He may end up surprising us in the role. Oubre's meh, we're just collecting average SFs this season.

I think we gave up on JJ, I guess they are just waiting for an available star PG.

F*ck. I’m not impressed but I think we’re better with rivers than Ariza. He can defend, knock down shots, drive to the hole.

Rivers at least gives us a player who can initiate the offense. Not a pg, but like others said, keeps Jackson from having to run the offense in the 2nd unit. We also either get to take a flyer on oubre or move him for a piece we like better. Haven’t followed oubre much, but I read he’s a decent shooter and can defend. We’ll see how he does.

Just looked and rivers has been pretty bad this year. He played well for LA last year though. Hopefully he can show something here. Oubre has been ok, not shooting the 3 as well as I would like, but maybe we’ll see an uptick here as well.

How so? I haven't heard anything about that.

You guys don't think we got him to be our starting PG? Or is that just wishful thinking?

Wishful. I have little doubt that they see him as the stsrting pg the rest of the season.
