I'm just spitballing here, but what if Oubre, I don't know, plays good basketball for the Suns? We don't know what will happen until we get him in here but he's in a contract year and will bust his ass - I have no doubt.
I just think his utility is limited given the construct of the roster. And it just means more Point Booker so we can have our best players on the court at once.

If Oubre plays like he did tonight for the next few months, gonna be hard to not want to retain him.
Jones and Vogel gotta go.

Yup. His energy is so much better than Ariza's on our team. Really happy with the swap so far. Yeah, I know it's only one game. Here's to more.

I said the same thing last night when I saw the minutes distribution.

Melton and Jamal got about 15ish each which meant at least 18min as point Book.

I expect a little fluctuation with the minutes base on game flow though. 4th quarter is going to be who is playing well and last night both Josh n Oubre were solid so Igor stuck with them but I still imagine there will be games when Crawford closes

I’m ok with that. If Melton or Crawford really have it going, let them play more, but I think 12-15 minutes of Point Book is ok right now.

Definitely isn't a problem. Not sure why 15-18 minutes a night of point-Book is a problem. We're winning and he isn't having to play PG for 25+ minutes a night.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

I know Josh gives most here a headache lol and don't think he has improved enough from his rookie season especially with his shooting which is fair but my word I have never seen this college clip before :o  . I feel like I got some perspective now on if he been improving (slowly) or not

He hit two step backs last night that were real nice rhythm shots. No hesitation and he nailed them confidently. I think Jamal is his favorite player so maybe he's giving him some pointers too.

Yeah, there's this guy that shows up in my mentions whenever Josh has a good game that I "debate" with. I better not find out it's one of you. Either way, his shot looks better. I remember posting that video over the Summer when he was working on it & y'all were like, "Why are you posting this video of some left-handed dude?" Anyway, I am glad the hitch is about gone. Can we work on how it looks like he's about to do one of those weird box jumps in crossfit when he jumps on it though?

He still has a ways to go, but he's making progress on it. Sometimes he still rushes a shot and then he does cock it back and gives it that bad hitch. I think a lot of it is really about shot selection. When he rushes a bad shot or takes a shot he shouldn't take, he often also forgets to use the proper form and mechanics on it. So IMO if he just focuses on shot selection more, I think consistency about the form and follow-through will come with it.

The one thing Josh absolutely needs to work on is finishing around the basket. He's making great cuts, can slash to the basket and lead the break but then he blows the layup. I don't know if he's going too fast, needs to adjust his footwork/balance or just needs to get stronger to absorb some contact and finish strong. Also noticed Oubre missed some easy ones a few times last night.

EJ is convinced once JJ bulks up his drives will be far more successful. It definitely couldnt hurt.

I’m not saying G League games need to be played in an arena that can sit 20,000, but there should be room for some spectators. This is ridic.

This reminds me of a quote from Ghostbusters:

"Dr Ray Stantz: Of course you forget, Peter. I was present at an undersea, unexplained mass sponge migration.

Dr. Peter Venkman: Ray, the sponges migrated about a foot-and-a-half."

Jackson's shooting 30.3% from 3 point range, and 38.8% overall from the field. His improvement is the equivalent of a foot and a half migration.

Thanks for your input Worm

I am guessing this current stretch of play from the team might be hard for you to accept. Stay Positive as Always :)

If he makes that foot and a half migration one more time, he’s a 34% 3pt shooter and I’ll take it
