Christmas is fast approaching. Could they possibly put together a 3-game winning streak? Crazier things have happened! They're embarking on a 5-game road trip. Plenty of bonding with their new 'mates to come, I'm sure.

That didn’t help matters, but Ariza, according to sources, found himself in a situation where he had to work harder than he anticipated in Kokoskov’s system. Offensively, he couldn’t just stand out at the 3-point line and wait for the pass to launch 3s.
Ariza is rather low-key. He’s not a rah-rah guy, but even he admitted after a 22-point loss to the Trail Blazers he wasn’t doing his part as a veteran to speak up.
“Being one of the oldest guys on the team, starting with pretty much four rookies, I should be more vocal in telling guys that we collectively have to play better,” Ariza said.
Nearly two weeks later, the Suns traded Ariza.
Two days before being traded, Ariza said, “I never have any regrets on anything that I do."
But think about this, Ariza signed with a young team with a first-time NBA head coach that had the league’s worst record last season after playing for a Rockets team that had the NBA’s best record, and pushed the eventual back-to-back NBA champion Warriors to seven games in the Western Conference finals.
Yes, he signed for $15 million, but let that marinate a minute.
Ariza also said he “didn’t have anything to do with” the trade talk, but he wasn’t interested in staying in Phoenix and the feeling was mutual for the Suns.
That’s why he’s isn’t in New York getting ready to help the Phoenix beat the Knicks on Monday night despite being so “loved” in the Suns locker room.

KTAR really put that ol' lady on the radio. Where's the face palm smiley?
I think that Ariza piece is spot on. I don't blame him at all. I blame McD for signing him. Someone offers you 15mil that probably no one else is coming close to offering, you gonna turn that down?
I'm glad we moved him before the relationship soured and didn't really take an L on the trade.
I missed it. What did she say? BTW, they had the lady that looks like will be the next Mayor on and it was painfully clear that they didn't know the details of the issue and even worse, she didn't know anything either.

Wow. Didn't realize Melton was such a defensive beast in college. What a stud we may have stumbled upon. The Ariza trade is looking better and better. Wasn't he part of the trade when we got Ariza and Anderson?

Agreed. I don't think it was any sort of spin piece or anything. I think the Ariza piece tells it like it was. I'm glad he's gone. I think we'll see a continued uptick in performance now that guys won't have to walk on eggshells around the "holy vet".

Yeah, he was apart of the trade that sent Knight and Chriss for Anderson and Melton.

Ariza was a FA signing but he was a part of the Anderson trade where we set out Knight & Chriss.

I know Google is my friend and I could just look it up but I'm guessing Chriss and Knight aren't doing a lot in Houston.

Chriss is averaging about 6 minutes per game, 2 point, 1 rebound and 0.2 blocks per game. His option wasn't picked up by Houston. He's had a bum ankle many nights. Knight got his first minutes of the season the other night.
Looks like we might win this trade by Melton alone.

No doubt. Knight and Anderson are washed and Melton >>> Chriss.

She said some nonsense about Sarver not spending money on players.
Yes, Sarver has dumped players for cap relief but I dont think they havent tried to sign marquee free agents.
I think the lesson is theyre not going to be able to sign impact players. The market is too tough.
