I could see him settling in as a 22 & 12 guy. 15 rebs a game is pretty crazy to do and thus the elite company he'd be in.
It does feel like there are about 4 or more boards that he could get if he becomes consistent on boxing out/getting position along with pursuing offensive boards.

Yea the whole "TJ can be our PF averaging 5rbs a game because Ayton will grab 15" argument doesn't fly with me. We're 28th in the league in rebounds, 25th in blocks, 27th in defensive rating, 22nd in opponents 2nd chance points and 29th in opponents points in the paint. That's not all on TJ and those numbers are probably skewed from our bad start at the beginning of the season but you get the picture.
Well if you’re referring to my comment, it was an If Ayton is a 15 rebound guy and plays defense like he did in OT against Orlando, then TJ is fine. Our rebounding/defensive numbers are bad because Ayton has not been that guy outside of a few moments this year. Dallas is a good rebounding team that doesn’t have great rebounding at the 4. The Jazz are above average and spend a lot of time with bad rebounders at the 4 next to Gobert.

I do think having someone in the rotation that has rebounding/defense in their skill set is pretty important. Would have been really useful to play them next to Ayton/Holmes in the wizards game down the stretch. But if Ayton becomes the rebounding/defensive force of a De’Andre Jordan or Rudy Gobert, we can be fine with warren playing a lot of minutes at the 4.

Idk why, but I'm pretty convinced that the PF gets addressed this off-season.

I’m sure it will too. We have a high pick and a good amount of Money to spend. So we’ve got 2 pretty obvious needs with 2 easy ways to fill them. I think we’ll either draft a pf and sign a pg or draft a pg and sign a pg. Although I guess trading the pick is an option too.

I'd actually trade the pick now so long as it's top 3 protected. I don't think we need another prospect that's going to take time developing. If the pick and Bender and Ryno's contract can net us something like a Jrue Holiday. I think we do it.

Ayton needs to rebound like a mofo.
Last time we played OKC, Ayton had his 21-9 but Adams torched us. We'll see how he adapts.
JJ and Oubre need to minimize their mistakes.
JJ is always an enigma, but I am liking what Oubre is doing.

You can't never be sure. After 13-14 we needed a big man and went and added literally the opposite in IT. We'll see if Jones makes the same mistakes of McD.

I’d trade it too. Especially if we could pick up a mid 1st in the deal. I’d only protect it top 1. I like Zion and then a lot of guys in the late lotto to mid 1st range. I’m not super high on the high lotto prospects in this draft.

I really dislike Westbrook. What was that bump on Bridges after the play? I swear he is such a punk.

Terrible quarter defensively. They just 7SOL’d us to death.

What happened to Schroder’s color patch? He doesn’t look like himself without it.

Westbrook is really having his way with us. He's shooting 7-8 so far. Booker shooting only 1-7. We have zero bench scoring so far. At least Ayton and Warren are having pretty good games.

Ayton still needs to work on the confidence a bit. When you have the ball in the lane with a little guy on you do not look to pass the ball. :)
