Everytime we get it within 10, Murray nails a dagger 3. FML.

They've been trying them all.

Our defense on Murray has not been great but he’s also ungodly hot.

Ayton needs more touches. Especially in the fourth.

His efficiency is unreal. If Ayton wants touches, he has to fight for position and demand the ball. His teammates will find him if he is scrapping for it. He became a little less aggressive in the 2nd half, maybe due to exhaustion, maybe lack of focus.

Ayton’s touch around the rim is elite.

Nice to see them close the 25-point gap. They gave themselves a chance to win it there but Melton got called for a BS foul on a steal attempt that would have had the crowd erupting.

15 steals tonight. 5 from Warren, 4 from Ayton, 3 from Melton.

They don't look to him with any regularity though, and the entry passing on this team is abysmal.

Denver didn't take Ayton out of the game in the 3rd quarter, Booker, Warren and ultimately Igor did.

Warren is the biggest offender here. He never looks for Ayton even if it’s the obvious play.

Well, at least we made a game of it, and Ayton had a monster offensive night. Trying to look for positives in another loss.

in the 4th against the Thunder we should have looked for Ayton rather than jacking up contested 3's. Tonight he shot 80% and for some reason we go away from him. Yes I know we got back in the game anyway, but it some miraculous 3pt shooting for that to happen. Not really a consistent strategy.

EJ was taking about it during the game. How long before we get some media articles on we are not using Ayton correctly.

Also the starters stayed in the 1st qtr for way to long while they were stinking it up.

Yes, in the 4th quarter and overtimes is when you need easy points from your big man. He should be our go-to on offense, especially in crunch time.

24 points (12/13 FG) in the 2nd quarter.
Those are Thomas Bryant-level numbers. Wow!

Melton has been a disaster guarding Murray.
And to think his defensive ability was his sure-fire attribute in pre/post-draft analysis...

Why did Ayton get taken out of the game so soon into the 3rd?

I got nothin'

How do they only get him 2 shots in the 3rd period?
The team's recent play has definitely given me more confidence in Igor, but stuff like this doesn't help.

Having Oubre and Warren on the wings with Ayton is a good way not to have him get any touches.

Two things here:

1. Inability to find big men plaguing the entire game of basketball. I see it so often in college basketball how often guards fail to find big men in the post or on pick and roll/pop. It is side effect of this era of launch threes at will. It's like everyone missed that in addition to being able to find QUALITY looks from 3, the 7SOL offense (Nash) was superb at getting the ball to the rolling big man (Amar'e) or feeding the big in the post on switches (Diaw and Tim Thomas, circa 2006).

2. This is one of the things I hate about our collection of wings: too little passing ability, poor defense, and hardly any rebounding.
