Book should rest. I predict an overtime loss.

Didn't see this in any other thread yet but GS didn't match Cleveland's offer sheet for Patrick Macaw. I knew his situation was weird and that he was holding out but I would have thought it was for more money. I would have taken him at 3 mil per to play PG. Seems like a low risk high reward situation which I'm sure why Phoenix was no where to be found. Would happily waive Bender for an open spot or that Jawad guy.

I confess that I didn't really understand this situation. Why is his contract being negotiated in late December? Is he a mid-season free agent or something? What is going on there? Does he join the Cavs immediately, or at the end of the season?

He was a RFA this summer, didn’t like the offer from GS, and held out until somebody gave him an offer sheet he wanted to sign.

I'm not sure if he was worth our time or effort. Players always look much better when playing on a championship team in a relief role. We don't need any more Luc Longley's of the world.

I agree to the last part. However, he was a pretty tenacious defender from what I recall. Just think he would come in handy on nights where Melton and Crawford are getting torched on D, which is most nights. He gets 6 mil for 2 years in Cleveland. Pretty cheap experiment.

Suns keeping it close. Melton has been nice, a couple steals, a nice 3.

Bender checks out with 3 points, 2 assists, and 2 boards in 5:49.

Really enjoying this game so far. Suns have tied the Warriors at 41-41. I think almost everybody is playing well, even guys like Bender and Melton. The only guys struggling a bit are actually Ayton and Josh Jackson.

I am really liking Oubre. He has been hustling and making some good plays. His shooting isn't entirely there, but I like his contributions on the court. And he has good energy and intensity and gives good encouragement to the other guys when he's out there. At 23 he offers way more "veteran" encouragement and leadership than Ariza seemed to.

You can really see the atrophy of Draymond Green when you watch him up close. He looks slow and fat and generally out of the game. Oof. The Warriors are going to need him to improve if they want to defend their title.

41-41...we’re playing well..worried about a trademark warriors 3rd Q where this game turns into a blowout, but we’re playing hard. Melton and Oubre have been good. They can’t defend Ayton, he’s missed some easy shots though...hopefully he can get it going.

Ariza seemed to offer none at all.

Where does the Klay being a great defensive player rep come from? Defensive stats, both traditional and advanced, don’t support it. I’m not saying he’s bad, he’s a fine defender, I just don’t see great. He just keeps fouling Booker tonight

Well I guess that 3rd Q run came in the final half of quarter 2
