Those season records are brutal. Booker's never known anything here but catastrophic team failure. I hope we haven't broken his spirit. And what a cavalcade of mediocre-to-horrible coaches he's had to endure.

Looking back, was Hornacek the best Suns' coach he's had? It's pretty close between Horny, Triano, and Kokoskov and that's not saying much.

The sad thing is that Hornacek and Igor were both considered top assistants ready for the big chair. I wonder how much better they might have done in a less toxic situation. I still think that Igor might do well with a good PG.

Anthony Davis gave the Pelicans 7 years, and that was with playoff runs.

How many years does Booker give the Suns? Next year is his 5th already!

I'm not that worried about Booker. I don't think he can be the best player on a title contending team.

Sure, it would suck to have to go through some of this Butler-AD type bullshit, but the guy is a max player who hasn't really even sniffed an All-NBA team yet.

That's a hot take. I wonder myself, but then I see a guy like AD and he hasn't led them to anything other than a 1st round playoff victory. It's not about one player.

Anthony Davis is light years ahead of Devin Booker as a player.

Why is this even a conversation?

Also, he's got one year left on his current deal after this one. Booker has 5. Booker is 3.5 years away from having any leverage to request a trade.

It's probably only a hot take to Suns fans. Everyone tends to overvalue their own players, especially ones their team drafted.

Don't get me wrong, Booker is a very good player with flashes of greatness, but he still has a lot to prove for me to believe he can be "the guy" that leads a team into title contention.

AD is 7-foot tall 2-way player who can do pretty much anything offensively. Booker is an undersized shooting guard who occasionally defends well and has mediocre playmaking skills.

The only things they have in common are their salaries and alma mater.

You think he's actually 6'6"? I don't.

Last they reported he had grown to 6'7", but I didn't believe that report.

I recently stood about 5 feet from Booker. I’m just over 6’3 and while this is obviously not scientific, he felt a couple inches taller. All nba players use their height with shoes. I’d buy booker being 6’5 barefoot, which would make him 6’6 in shoes. Also, a quick check shows he measured 6’4.5 barefoot at the combine.
