I do not believe Memphis would deal one of their probable ring of fame (if they have one) players to shit bucket like Phoenix. If I'm Utah I'd try to upgrade from Rubio and go after Conley

What would it take to get Conley? Are they going to want our 1st this year? Warren? Jackson?
I’d do Anderson/Warren/Okobo/Mil 1st but not sure that gets it done. Can we do the trade without Anderson? Not sure we can make the contracts match.

Assuming we’re not trading Ayton, Booker,or Bridges. We’d either have to include Anderson or both Jackson and Warren.

I would consider trading Bridges in a deal for Conley. Consider. I don’t think he’s untouchable.

Well Bridges doesn’t make very much money. He doesn’t really help match the salaries. This is where buying out Chandler and Rivers hurts us. Both had decent sized expiring deals. I’m not sure Memphis will be willing to take on Anderson.

Conley is decent and he'd be a huge hep. However his salary is that of an all nba player when he hasn't even made an all star team yet. I'd be willing to trade Ryno along with a couple of picks. I'd consider including Oubre, okobo, melton, bender. Memphis probably says no to that. Getting Conley would take us out of any free agent signings this summer. Wouldn't we rather try to throw that money at Rozier or Russell?

I would include our first instead of Milwaukee's if we had to, especially since they are taking Anderson's contract. Protect it Top 1 if you can.
I'm fine trading our pick this year only if it's top 3 protected. I don't think there is anyone out there that's available for trade that I'd rather have than say Zion or Ja. Not even AD.

I think it’s unlikely we can get Russell. And it’s not necessarily true that we can’t have cap space if we trade for Conley. If we include Anderson and Warren in the deal, their salaries are essentially equal to Conley. We’d lose the ability to waive and stretch Anderson to open up extra space, but we could have 10 million plus to spend. Also, Conley expires before we’d have to extend Ayton/Bridges, so we could have a lot of money to spend in 2021.

Yes, the problem with relying on free agency is that we might not be able to get anyone to come here. If we trade for Conley then we have him for the next 2 1/2 seasons.

The further the season goes on the less I want to deal for Conley. I'm not opposed to it though.

I think I’d do it if they took Anderson...otherwise I’d pass. I too would even include our pick...protected of course. I wouldn’t move that pick without top 1 protection for anyone but Giannis. For Conley I’d protect it as much as I could, but top 4 makes sense.
